9. New Orleans Saints

Will Johnson, CB, Michigan

Johnson -- who reads the QB incredibly well and has the quickness to finish plays with takeaways -- could be the Marshon Lattimore replacement in New Orleans. Johnson had nine interceptions over his career at Michigan. The Saints seemingly always find their way out of their salary cap issues, but they are projected to be $70.6 million over the cap in 2025, per Roster Management System. They have to find Day 1 starters in the draft, and Johnson would fill a big hole. New Orleans allowed 7.3 yards per pass attempt this season, ranking 23rd in the league.

Most mocks have him going really high with a lot of the pm 5 to jville. Would seem to be good value.

They better not pick a corner in the first 3 rounds. Let Jean Charles and Rico Payton get some playing time this year

Safety
Guard
DL
WR.
On particular order

We need so much help….that it doesn’t matter as long as we get a blue chip prospect. Johnson fits the bill.
With a top ten pick, I strongly prefer a premium position (CB, D-line, OT, QB, or WR).
We can get guards safeties, running backs, and linebackers in later rounds

If a corne3r is the best available player you take him. This team needs help everywhere, they do not have the luxury of drafting for need.

Trade down and get more picks and young team bodies.

I don't know if it's just me and a slight lack of interest this season but man this looks like an uninspiring overall draft class to me.

Pass, don’t really need a corner.

Regardless the Saints are a dead franchise as long as Loomis is in the building. Three first rd draft picks won’t help this team right now.

We’re not at a position with this roster for that. We need to pick what we need and pray for the best

Way too many elite pass rushing prospects to go corner here. I like Johnson but, we need talent up front.

this class has less projected "1st round grades" than usual years.

jared verse would be a top 5 pick this year for comparison.

Defensively, especially the dline, this is an elite draft for that. Qb? Weak class. Wr? Mediocre. Oline? Pretty decent.

It looks like a good year for drafting both lines. Wouldn't bother me for first three picks to be all O or D line or both.

This is how we get out of cap hell

Need to get cheap premium positions.

This is why Penning not being elite and Olave not staying healthy has hurt so much.

I want McMillian from Arizona this year and I hope we draft Arch Manning next year.

goat gets it.

I’d add WR if an elite one is there. But DE, DT, and OG are our biggest needs followed by WR and S.

BPA should be the strategy. If he’s there he would likely be the BPA. Draft him or trade down.

Never draft a lesser talent just because you have a need.

See almost every prior Saints draft as evidence.

BPA in premium positions that tend to have longer careers. Gotta build the team with 2027 in mind.. because we're gonna SUCK for the next 2 years regardless.
