Marcus Williams had a total of 86 tackles, 7 passes defensed & 4 INTs.
AS A ROOKIE.
He made a bad play. It happens. Being disappointed is perfectly natural. But he absolutely deserves the appreciation and support of the entire Who Dat Nation.

This will either elevate him to being even better or destroy him.

I'm still a Marcus Williams fan.

It’s very easy for you to sit back and criticize. Look, I’m just as disappointed as the next guy, but you can’t put all the blame on williams

He had a great season, it’s only bandwagon fans that think otherwise.

Yes, he made a mistake but if the team had been playing full he wouldn’t have been in that position. Players make mistakes and it happened to be him. It’s a team effort

And when they needed him the most he failed miserably.

It was a terrible play and it happened to be the last play of the game so he has to own his error...Also, Drew and the offense own egregious errors that cost us points in the first half...plenty of blame to go around

He’s already owned his mistake. Now we as a fan base need to rally behind this kid. He could very well have a GREAT career in NOLA. Some of you people need to lighten the frick up. I’m a HUGE Saints fan and I’m disappointed in the loss, but at the end of the day I’m a husband and a dad also so I’m not gonna go around all pissy at a 21 year old rookie who made a mistake. If he doesn’t intercept that pass earlier we may not even be in that situation

He’s an adult and a professional. He’s not a kid.

For the record, I’m not mad. But he’s paid not to do what he did in that situation.

Football players make mistakes. While we are pointing fingers what about the Brees pass that was intended for Ginn intercepted on an underthrow... We can point all kinds of fingers, but football players make mistakes

I mean generally if you have s bunch of rookies starting it's because your vets suck or you have injuries. We had a lot of rookies starting this year, which is not ideal for this very reason. They're young and make mistakes even when they are very talented.

Absolutely. He played his role in what could be the Saints best draft class, ever.

And they won’t be rookies next year and Williams won’t make that mistake next year
