The #Saints have informed safety Marcus Maye that he will be released at the start of the league year, sources tell @BleacherReport.

Straight up release would only save $1.19 million in cap space. Safety becomes a need now. If he's designated a June 1 cut, it would save $7.2 million in cap space
The Impossible Loomising might actually happen.

Good. Aggravated assault charge before he even played a snap
Trash
Trash

Actually is talented when he’s on the field but Jordan Howden showed some good last year and might be the cheaper and younger option.

I told yall that dude was fricking trash when we signed him. A bunch of people thought he was an upgrade.

This was a character and cap move plus he’ll probably be suspended. Not performance

He was bad the entire time he played here good fricking riddance
We replaced Marcus Williams with that trash. Maye is nowhere near the same stratosphere as Williams

This is just wrong. We replaced Williams with Maye and Mathieu for the same price

I'll never forget that 4th down play against the bears where he just turns around completely lost.

Maye never moved the needle, however Howden is flashing. Excited to see how he does in year 2.

I never wanted to let Williams walk. But Loomis has screwed our cap so bad it’s impossible to keep real good young players now. I thought Maye was a better signing than honey Badger but was playing out of position. He shoujd have been playing honey badgers spot or closer to the box.

shite, he was on the injury report more than the starting lineup, so whatever... he honestly was one of the worst FA signings we've had, when you really factor in his availability and ineffectiveness on the field.... he wasn't "bad", but he was more or less "just there".... but for way too much money

James Williams out of Miami or Jaylin Simpson out of Auburn in the 5th round of the draft would be a good start.

I was speaking in terms of cost for Williams
