It's real early, but the 11th pick last year might have been him. Imagine if it were lattimore and mahomes and the saints took mahomes... Saints fans would be spitting venom if lattimore was on another team. I know I would
Anyhow, looks like mahomes has no where to go but up.

I think it's a bit early to give up on Mahomes.
Not for us, but as a QB.

I actually think it's more telling then that. Reid encouraged him to try different approaches on plays to different coverages. So you find what works and what doesn't. I think the bad if can learn from it can be more beneficial then always be good

Shocking - a Big 12 QB struggling to adapt in the NFL - never seen this scenario before.

Payton said he would still have taken Lattimore but I don't believe him
Perfectly happy with the way it worked out.

Yeah, he's doing nothing to help the B12 stereotype.
I think him being with Andy Reid will help us gauge how he might have performed the Saints, considering the offensive similarities between KC & the Saints. If Reid can't fix him, like Reid did with Favre, he could have struggled with SP as well.
On YT, I just watched every Mahomes throw from his Week 17 (only) start (& win) against Denver. His arm strength is ridiculous and wows you once a quarter.
However, his ball placement is horrible. Back-shoulder throws at the knees. Jump ball throws on hitch routes. Throwing behind on crossing routes. Throws at the feet on pressured dump-offs. And his repeated bad decision-making of throwing into double-coverage eventually got him intercepted. His best plays were one-read quick throws, wr/rb screens or RPO runs. He has a long way to go.

If we aren't allowed to get excited about people doing well during OTA's, the opposite applies.

They Just Dropped Cousins like he was dead weight this offseason.
Cousins was freaking good and has a high ceiling.

If he had somehow made it to Baltimore, we'd be saying how they end up so lucky with drafting elite defensive talent.
But I honestly don't think he gets past Houston or Indy.

a good chunk of this board ws melting that Lattimore was the pick and not a DE or LSU CB, White.
