Yeah, well as much as I like our freshman qb, he isn't a choir boy. He was suspended for the Arkansas game for fighting

If the FO considers Queen a first round of talent I have no problem with it.
Davis is the only good LB'er we have that can finish a season.

He's listed at 6'1" 227 lbs. With that and his speed he might be better served to play at SS rather than LB.

He’s already bigger than Deion Jones when he entered the league. Queen will easily reach 235 in the NFL he still has room to grow.

ETA: and Queen is a violent dude too. Guy isn’t afraid to hit.

6'1'' 222 was Deion Jones' measureables at the combine

He won't be there in the 3rd.
Saints need a LB who can hit.

I can’t think of a single bad game he had this season. He showed up to play in every game including the Vikings one.

Rookie WRs have a very difficult time in the NFL, even with good talent.

We need to sign or trade for one if we need help next year IMO

If we don't get a WR this year with our 1st or 2nd pick I'll be pissed.

1) We don’t have a 2nd round pick this year.
2) O line is a bigger need than WR.
3) This is a very deep class for RBs and WRs and good ones can be found in the 3rd round.

I’m glad to see the whole board hadn’t lost its collective mind.

we don't have a second round pick

I never said we did. Same can be said about good O lineman in the latter rounds. I'm sick of watching our wr shitshow (outside of Thomas ) game in and game out. We have the best receiver in the league but no one to take over a game when someone finally is able to limit him some. Wr is a desperate need.

If he runs in the 4.5 then he will be late first round. He compares well to Deion Jones. Could be a huge upgrade on D for us. I’m down for him or Kenneth Murray. I think we are a LB away from having a truly dominant defense

We relied on him too much. Outside of him, our LBs lack athleticism. Anzalone has some and is a good LB but he can’t stay healthy and you can’t depend on players like that. And even if he does, having three LBs that can play in space makes things so much harder on offenses. Queen, Davis and Anzalone would all be able to play the outside zone run, which killed us this year because our LBs aren’t athletic, and also play well in space/coverage. That’s what made that Panthers D so damn good in 2015. Kuechly and Thompson and Davis never had to leave the field. Same for those 49er defenses in 2011-13. Willis and Bowman were everywhere.

We need some twitchy LBs and I love Queen but, I wouldn’t take him at 24.

The saints have the following 6’1” LBs on the roster in some form (active, IR, reserve/future, and unrestricted free agents.

Manti T’eo 6’1” 241 (UFA)
Craig Robertson 6’1” 235 (Active)
A.J. Klein 6’1” 240 (UFA)
Andrew Dowell 6’1” 225 (reserve/Future)

And of course Devin White is listed as 6”0” 235 after a year in the NFL. He s Lise as 6’1” 241 at LSU. That is where I have a concern, is Queen actually 6’1” 227?

Queen won’t be as big but don’t be surprised to see him put up better overall numbers than Devin White at the combine.

Our coaches have said that Queen was the most athletic LB we’ve had for the past few years.

Didn’t think he was a 1st rounder though ... maybe second or third round pick.
