Y’all wanna go back to Saints letting every good player walk after their 1st contract to save money? Hell, that was even before a cap. Loomis stretches the cap but brings in talent and at worst, tries hard to keep it. Can’t keep them all. Some of y’all forget about our talent pool prior to Loomis.

Loomis isn’t being fired, baring something egregious like a major crime or something.
It is frustrating that we let guys like Vonn Bell walk and trade CJGJ for peanuts, but sign guys like Peat and Taysom for too much money.

Almost no GMs in the league let that happen lmao. If they are a stud almost every single half decent GM will keep the player around for a second contract… don’t pretend that Loomis is the only guy in the world that can make that happen lol. Sure y’all had one awful GM that couldn’t.. but being an awful GM itself makes players not want to stay. You can hire just about anyone who is good at their job and be able to fricking keep guys around for the 2nd contract. Man some of you really are scarred from the past and it’s deluded your mind. Have some common sense my guy it’s free!

I have a hard time believing Loomis with his friendship is going to do what’s best for the saints in this Payton trade. You think he had the balls to tell Paton he can sit his arse out for 2 more years before we trade him for nothing. I doubt it.
