Have y'all looked at the broncos since Payton took over? They have an 85 million cap hit for a quarterback

That had nothing to do with Payton. But it’s fully his ship now. Let’s see if they get their QB next month

There is no way to fix this so if you really feel like there is "no hope" with Loomis then you should probably abandon the franchise, because he is unfireable. He will literally handle the sale (along with Lauscha) when Gayle eventually dies. He is the shepherd for this organization, like it or not.

I see there are multiple people on here still in line to blow Payton. Sorry brees made Payton, Payton isn't some QB guru, Payton is a big reason we are in this shape cap wise, trying to sign old players to ride brees and his rascal to another Superbowl, never doing shite with the defense and when his wins a Superbowl primarily because of a competent defensive coordinator, Payton shits on him because Payton didn't get all the credit. Then after brees retires, he needs a break and quits, after a year out, he has fast forwarded the cap hell he put the saints in by cutting his quarterback, that EVERYONE here was begging for him to get in new Orleans. Lmao

Gayle has no fricking clue. All she is in this is for her social status and the money.
She will never fire Loomis who is the problem and he knows this! Loomis is only worried about his $70 million dollar contract which $69 is guaranteed!!! He will walk away after this contract is up and the Saints will be fricked!

I can tell you, without hesitation, that you’re wrong about Gayle. She’s very much aware of things. At worst, she may occasionally receive some questionable advice. But she’s
a careful woman who cares about the franchise and its legacy.

stop getting in the way of retarded rhetoric that's easy to flame away ignorantly on the internet.

The decision made to "keep it going" instead of going full rebuild was very cowardly given Loomis/Lauscha's stability, and a total disaster.

We would be in year 3 of a rebuild if they had just bitten the bullet.

Instead we are in no man's land with no hope in sight, not bad enough to tank and get a top 3 pick, not good enough to compete for anything of note.

Wouldn’t the organization be the Titanic and the regime be the crew that allowed the sinking to happen?

Yes

But Sean Payton is responsible for the situation we’re in

I knew Gayle personally years ago and believe she doesn’t have a clue about football or running this organization!! She loves her social status and fortune period! She depends 100% on Loomis and he knows this!

I’d say it’s a mixture of the business and status that drives her, based on
what I can observe and hear from the periphery.

He makes 70 mil a yr?

Why would he walk away when his contract is up?

Loomis is a part of the problem. He was fine when peyton was here since peyton ran everything.

Now you have Dennis allen running everything. Loomis does nothing. You can tell by the saints becoming the new orleans raiders.

Guess where peterman once played. Yep, with Derek carr and the raiders.

Janocko had peterman in Chicago. Janocko is a kubiak guy

There’s no shot Dennis Allen is doing anything beyond the scope of being HC

You don't get 3 years in a rebuild. You get an offseason to blow it all up, then you are expected to at least compete for a playoff spot that season. If you don't, house is cleaned and the next regime goes to work.

That's what people here do not understand. The regime that blows it up is never the one who puts it back together.

Does anybody on this board

Really believe that this organization fell apart

When spayton snuck out the back door???

He was running the football operations and fricked it up.

He knew what was coming

When he quit

He said he wanted to win another SuperBowl

He obviously knew he couldn’t do it here

Because of the shitshow he left us
