“Not only do Atlanta and New Orleans have to satisfy the trade demands of the Texans, they must also sweeten the contract for Watson. There are two negotiations taking place behind the scene. Perhaps adding a few "no show" jobs will surfice.”

We are going to win games. Atlanta isn’t.

Is that sweet enough?

He wants this years salary converted to a bonus so if he’s suspended he’s not losing much money.

This also can help the Saints.

Add three years at $40 mil. A year. Guarentee more up front which will reduce his cap hit allowing the Saints to get Armstead, Landry, and Mathieu if Ceedy is in the deal.

The Falcons cant pay the money he wants until they trade Ryan. He is giving them time.

I have never seen anything like this in the NFL.

This is just weird.

Maybe that’s why he reached out to the falcons. He knows the saints is his best chance to win but he wanted some leverage and the falcons were dumb enough to play the game

Wishful thinking on my part

I'd feel better if we were securing a WR2 at the same time.

Trade or release, it’s still a $48M cap hit. Good luck building a team around that.

How many players have simultaneously had a no trade clause and put themselves in a situation where both he and the team 100% don’t want him to be back?

frick this guy. He’s weird.

I don’t like Dabo and his religious schtick and guys like Watson who are creeps but act all religious.

He may be slightly better than Winston but not 3 firsts and that salary better.

Only in America can a black man molest 22 women and then get paid millions for doing it.

It's a 40M cap hit at the moment. Tuesday it becomes a 48M but they can make him a post June transaction too.

So how long is left on his seal?

If we traded for him without extending him he’d probably just leave for the Falcons after it was up anyway and refuse to sign a new deal

Watson is elite. He is right behind Mahomes and Rodgers. There is no comparison with Jameis to Watson. That being said, the Saints are in a very good place either way. Get Watson and you get an elite QB at 26. If not, resign a competent QB that should get better with an elite roster.

I took that last line , no show jobs, to mean he wants some of his family/friends put on the new team books.

There’s a lot of baggage with this whole thing. I’m kind of to the point where if it happens, great. If not, oh well maybe it’s for the best.

ESPN talking heads are talking as if it’s known that he’s going to Atlanta. Talking about where Matt Ryan is going
