I still can’t shake the feeling that we’re getting played by Watson and the Falcons. If the guy wants to play in his hometown then that’s his decision but it’s really bush league to frick us over in the process.

Just fricking announce the move to ATL so it’s over and done with

I agree completely. I feel the Saints are in a good spot either way.

I struggle seeing the benefit for the Falcons, besides maybe a boost in season ticket sales until apathy sets back in? Which I suppose is important to Blank.

The Saints have a new coach with an 8-28 record as a head coach and an OC who didn’t even want the job. This isn’t as slam dunk of a decision as Saints fans think. If Payton were still there, it’s a no brainer.

Dude, I’m white and I’ll say that’s bullshite. We all know if Watson wasn’t a football player, and a regular black man on the street the judge would not have dropped the charges and he would be spending years in prison

I'd feel better if we were securing a WR2 at the same time.

Problem is they need the cap space to trade for Watson, then they can free up the space for a WR2. I would imagine they are working on "if we land Watson deals", but they can't sign any big names until they know Watson's fate

Yeah it kind of seems like with all the resources they will have to give up and their already depleted roster, it’s a lateral move from the Texans to Falcons. Plus the dead money from Ryan. It’s not like QB has been their biggest problem either so while Watson is certainly an upgrade, I don’t think the team will be all that much better.

Yes, he’s getting paid for molesting women. That’s exactly what is happening. You have the mind of an infant

I’m sure the Saints and Falcons at this point will give him whatever he wants

They have so far.

Thank you. We have some delusional fans that can’t seem to see past the ‘22 season. We are not who we think we are. We honestly have no idea who we are.

If the saints can't see through all this effort to lure him that Watson is a high risk problem player then the saints have more problems that a QB question.

I would run far away from Watson at this point. He is the one that should be doing the begging and Loomis needs to show him exactly who is more desperate. Let him stay in Houston or take one of the other crappy teams. This would show future players that the opportunity to play for the Saints is a gift not to be wasted.
