This is sad. Saints are interviewing their 14th!!!!!!! candidate already today. Yet Gayle sees it all as just peachy while Loomis extends Carr’s contract. I hope all Saints season ticket holders give up their seats even though it won’t happen. At this point i’m not even sure a 4 win season would be bad enough to get this group fired. Maybe, MAYBE a winless one would make Gayle do something. So sad to see a team i’ve loved since I was old enough to watch football just fall apart like this after making this franchise a model that other teams wish they could have been the last decade.

Forget the fact there are still 2 teams playing and 2 coaches from 1 of those teams very well could be the leading candidate for the position. But because another team signed an OC we didn't even want to interview from college; we must be stuck with no OC because no one wants the job...apparently including coaches that are still with the team

Gayle isn't an owner who bought a franchise because she had a strong desire to own one and compete in a competitive environment/business. She inherited it. She doesn't necessarily want to own the team. But it is a New Orleans institution and it is important to her, a lifelong New Orleanian, the franchise remain in New Orleans. But as far as the actual management of the business she leaves it exclusively to Lauscha and Loomis. Thus, Loomis has no accountability to anyone in the organization. He has complete autonomy in the decision making.

Assuming that Loomis is not interested in firing himself, that basically leaves the franchise at his mercy. And recently, more so that ever, it appears he has develop a sense of spite towards those who criticize him. Dennis Allen has never won anything of note in the NFL. Yet, not only did Loomis choose to retain him, he essentially told the fans they were idiots for criticizing him because past HOF coaches had some struggles early in their careers...as if Allen has shown ANY reason to think he's on that level. It's as if he is dead set to prove everyone wrong...all while the franchise appears to be going nowhere.

So I understand the frustration of those fans who feel like the franchise is in a helpless situation because they realize the person probably needs to be removed is one of the two people who can't be removed.

Kubiak is their guy. he's still coaching for the next week.

when we miss on Kubiak, then they will settle on one of the other 20 OC's they interviewed.

Really disappointed Arthur Smith already signed with Pitt
Have the interviewed anyone that would be considered a retread? I have a feeling that if they can't get Kubiak or Griese they'll just settle for Curry or Johnson if they want to bring in someone from the outside.

Drew a mental block on Getsy, I guess in the same way Brian Johnson would be considered a retread

Start worrying if the Saints haven't hired anyone after the Super Bowl...till then just assume they are waiting on someone from 49ers.

Here is what I think is going on with OC. The saints know who there #1 target is and he is tied up with SF right now. #2 target is Curry or the other SF coach if #1 takes another offer.

In this scenario they know they are going to get their 1st or 2nd choice so no rush now. Now, with the other interviews, they are having mutual introduction. They are learning who these people are, their personalities, their strategies, their motivations, etc. this is a who's who opportunity they may be valuable in other ways for both the saints and the candidates. It's also possible they are doing favors for agents by agreeing to interviews so the coach has the interview experience.

Wow yall just realized this lol? Loomis won’t fire himself. Gayle would have to step in and do it . She doesn’t seem that interested if they do bad or good . Y’all keep buying tickets so it doesn’t matter to her she still making money
