You have about 10 or so QB’s in the league that are below average right now and Carr is on that list. That sums it up….it would be hard to list because each of them have deficiencies.

Doesn’t really matter at his level. You’re not winning anything with the bottom 10qbs in the league and he is on that list until he retires.

This is basically the same exact post that was on Miami dolphins message boards 2 years ago about tua.

Scheme matters.

Let’s be honest. QBs are underperforming. The “good” QBs like Burrow and Hurts are way underperforming. So is Lamar.

QBs worse than Carr:
Tannehill
Ridder
Young
Wilson
Jones
Jones
Wilson
Watson
Love
Garrapolo

It’s a ton of mediocrity across the board

Carr is a middle-of-the-pack QB this season 17th QBR, 15th raw quarterback rating. His performance yesterday is ranked third in QBR and fifth in raw quarterback rating.

Tell me you don’t watch other teams without telling me you don’t watch other teams.

QB play across the league has taken a huge nosedive.

Our 3 wins and two of our losses were against worse QBs than Carr.

This is something a lot of people cannot grasp, talking league wide. Saw a debate on the more sports board about Tua and another QB not being top 10 QBs, and they were laying out some of the deficiencies. You could tell those arguing against them being top 10 was still hung up on the days when Brady, Manning, Brees, Rodgers... were all in their prime.

It looks like this league will have a few seasons with a lot of bad QB play, so the hope of a fanbase is to strike gold and get the next guy; or have one of the best of the worst. I hope I am wrong, because even when the Saints are mediocre/bad, I still enjoy watching the games. But cannot stand watching bad football. Which is taking some of the enjoyment out of watching this year, Saints needs to get better to begin playing bad football.

The problem is management and coaching more than any individual player issue.

Drew Brees had the authority and cache to change plays on the field.

With the current play calling and scheme, most players look worse than what they really are.

You people are nuts. Saying Carr is an average QB that isn't worth the contract is fair. Saying he sucks and the bottom 3 in the league is downright retarded.

The better question is give me a worse OL.

We have a combined 4 1st rounders and a 2nd rounder as our starting lineup. Yet we still suck.

Nobody would be a top 10 QB with this play calling and offensive line.

Tried to tell Saints homers this in a post over the summer. He is a mediocre QB on his best day. We have seen greatness and this is not it. Great QBs throw people open. Where are the back shoulder throws? We would have been better off sticking anyine in there that did not burden us with the cap and drafting a QB next year in the year of the QB.
