Here is a LINK to Dr. Chao explaining why Brees will be back sooner rather than later.

I don't know though. LSUZombie knows a guy who knows a guy who owns a gym in Texas and that guy said Brees as good as done. What does a specialist in sports medicine really know?

In this case Im going with the MD that a multi-million dollar athlete chose.

Zombie is one of the worst posters on ST.

Thanks for the video. Like hearing positive news. Helps me convince myself we are right where we want to be. Honestly though this injury will just allow brees to save his arm for the playoffs.

I follow dr. Chao on Twitter and he diagnosis injuries from videos people send him. Last season he was like 98% correct on injuries in ALL three major sports

Of course he is, even after the embarrassment of all his fairy tale stories ending up false.

So some doctor has made a prognosis based upon media reports instead of upon personal examination?

Sounds legit...

Uh no I didn’t. I posted what someone on SR said stating THEY had some insider named Coach Pete. Like I said, no different than posters sharing “sources” on Twitter.

This is the injury he probably has

If so, this is the surgery he needs

It can be done like this, but with the pressure he puts on his thumb throwing the ball, he'll need the extra reinforcement with bone-anchored InternalBrace.

Disclaimer: I have no sauces. But I'm a Saints fan, saw the injury, and saw the test the trainer was performing. Oh and I have experience in hand surgery.

The strength provided by the InternalBrace allows you to start rehab earlier. So he might be back around 6 weeks. But his thumbs gonna be stiff for a while and it's definitely going to affect the touch he has passing the ball.

Dude come on everybody knew the saints were signing cook. You act like that was some breaking news. Everybody on this board knew they were pushing heavy to sign him.

Back to the topic on hand though. We should have a pretty accurate date today on his return. Hoping for a smooth surgery and easy recovery!
