I mean that as a compliment.

Great leadership

Adequate arm

Some mobility

I think Pickett is a winner, and like Kilmer, the sum is greater than the parts.

Yeah. It's not a popular opinion around here, but I agree. I love Pickett.

I don't think he really fits with what our team needs today, though. If we had not signed Jameis I would be all aboard.

It amazes me how people think we're going to have a continued run of success and are still in "win now" mode as if our window is open. It isn't. Our defense is old and slow, our quarterback is below average, our star running back will miss time, and our star WR hasn't really played ball in 2 seasons.

Saints will be a losing team this year unless we get a dynamic playmaker at the QB position.

I like him too but I'd only want him if he drops into the 2nd round and we have already addressed WR and T with our two first round picks.

If we grab any QB with one (or God forbid with both) of our first round picks I'll be heckin bummed.

When you say our defense is slow you lose any and all credibility. Just a ridiculous statement.

Small hands, average release time, one year of production, not a great arm talent.

He’s kind of seems like the type of QB that can play early and have success, but the upside may be limited.

Sounds like the scouting report on Joe Burrow

Also sounds like legends Jared Goff, Mitch Trubisky, Jim Drukenmiller, etc.

It’s almost as if drafting isn’t an exact science.

The only one of those guys I liked in college was Druckenmiller. He turned out to be the worst of the bunch

I lived on the West Coast during Goff's career so I saw him play a lot. He always looked like a 3rd rounder to me. Trubisky just didn't win very much and was drafted as a projection on measurables.

True dat, and especially true with QBs

I remember a qb that had all those knocks. I think he plays for the Bengals now if I recall.

I wouldn't mind immediate success and I don't mind limited upside, heck Drew Brees had limited upside.

I know I just compared him to a great current QB and a future hall of famer but these things don't measure up to Jack shite. Brady was labeled as limited and JaMarcus Russell was labeled as a sky's the limit type player. We saw how that worked out

The average age for our defense is 26 yrs old. That's old? You suck dude!

My memory of Billy Kilmer was that he was a super tough guy who played hurt, even with a broken foot, and that his passes looked like wounded ducks. We used to boo him out of Tulane Stadium and 80,000 fans would be chanting "We want Hargett, We want Hargett".

Nice guy though. I met him years later at the old Sands Casino in Las Vegas.

Kenny Pickett = Joe Burrow, confirmed.

You are exactly right - the draft is a total crapshoot.

It doesn’t mean Pickett’s flag are his doom, it’s just a data point to account for. Maybe he overcomes it and becomes Joe Burrow - maybe he’s the next Trubisky. We shall see.
