It has been incredible having the local feel good story with Will Clapp on the roster.
But if he has to go, I believe we can replace him with an orange traffic barrel and get similar production.

Why would we trade them last years picks?

You can’t give them Onyemata.
considering the report of the Falcons offer had Grady Jarrett, it makes all the sense in the world for him to be "major player" in this trade...
and yes, you can give them Onyemata... franchise QBs win championships, not franchise DTs... off the top of your head, can you name the DTs on Brady's last Patriots SB victory? or the one before that? exactly, my point... Onyemata is a stud, no doubt, but with how deep this draft is at DL, he's EASILY more replaceable than Watson, where the QB crop this year is terrible, and the other franchise QBs, Rodgers and Wilson, are already gone

Also, Onyemata will be 30 this year. He has a few more years left of high level play left at most.

Care to elaborate? First I am hearing about this

From everything I’ve researched my understanding is the Atlanta Falcons proposed trade to the Houston Texans for Deshaun Watson is: -Grady Jarrett DT -Ritchie Grant S -2022 1st round pick -2022 2nd round pick -2023 1st round pick -2024 1st round pick
from the MSB Offseason stickied thread... how true, i dunno... but this is what i was referencing...
i stand by including him in the trade however... Watson is a much, MUCH bigger need than Onyemata

Keenan Lewis knows about as much as me which is nothing.
How many times does it need to be explained that guys who restructured won’t be traded.
The cap hit would be prohibitive.

If it’s 2 defensive players, it’s probably two of these three and that sucks. If I had to guess, Werner and Adebo. We just restructured Roby, and I can’t imagine giving up 2 people in the secondary.

Don’t forget about Turner. I still don’t think Chauncey gets traded.

Ngl I would be distraught if it were ceedy

Please God no. He looks like he has the potential to be something special

I hope you are right because I love ceedy.
If we look at the restructures, we can probably deduce who it could be.
Turner makes sense because we’ve restructured Davenport. Adebo makes sense because we restructured Roby. Werner and Ceedy make sense because their contracts are super friendly.
Ceedy is my favorite player on this team and already one of my favorite saints of all time. He loves the city, fans, and this team. He’s also the best troll ever. Let us hope it’s turner and a combination of adebo (preferred) or Werner.

If it the cap would allow it, i would love for it to be PEAT.

Nobody is mentioning, but Demario Davis could be in the trade. All the rumors mention Defense and big changes. Also, I do not believe he restructured this offseason.
Posted on 3/16/22 at 8:45 am to Tmar1no
Davis doesn’t fit their timeline
We have too many good, young guys on rookie deals for them to want Davis

Ndamokong Suh entire year, Vita Vea midseason IR in SB year
Legitimate “contending run” last year with Suh and Vea
Didn’t have to think long at all.

I question if Ceedee would be included because he is in the last year and will be looking for a good pay day. And, he had a down year last year based on his standards, primarily because he was playing shifty guys in the slot.
My guess is it's between Adebo, Turner & Werner. Ironically, 1 player for every level of the defense and our 1st, 2nd & 3rd round picks from last year.

And this is why the saints may be willing to part ways. Plus the Texans have plenty of cap space to build around him.
