we've interviewed Glenn though.

you need 2, and I am pretty sure they need to be in person. Gleen was a Teams call.

If that’s the case I’d rather bring Saleh in over Kafka. Saleh is a Muslim Lebanese.

Are you melting because they haven’t rushed into a selection?

Not at all, but when your finalists are both Rooney Rulers you have a problem.

I’d take Saleh over anyone not named Brady or Johnson. Keep Kubiak if you do. Much, much worse could end up happening.

Giants beat writer confirmed last year Kafka would qualify. I don’t know the process past that

RE: Saleh

He’s getting paid through 2026 by the Jets, which continues as long as he doesn’t take a HC job. Already has an offer to be the highest paid DC in the league

How do you know they are the finalist? That’s the problem with miserable fans. They hate the coach and want him fired. Then when he’s fired they are pissed that other coaches are hired. Then they’re pissed at who is hired. Then they’re pissed at the new coach.

To be fair, that guy is retarded and thinks the Saints can't afford medicine and interns will be the medical staff. He's just saying the stupidest thing possible on every topic.

Eh I’m sure this has been covered in other theads, there was very little exciting about Sean Payton when we hired him. Hiring coaches is such a toss up, so many hot names amount to nothing.

Some believe his Porto Rican heritage qualifies him. I’m not sure. Doesn’t matter Weaver and Glenn if he makes it out of East Rutherford are/should be qualified minority interviews.

The Saints weren't in salary cap hell at that time either. It's not just the HC. It's the health of the organization as well. The Saints are sick. Real sick.

I don’t have a big issue with Weaver. He’d be similar to Glenn.

Flashback: Saints fire team orthopedics for misdiagnosing Delvin Breaux injury as a bruise without running x Rays to discover a fracture. Bad medicine and intern mistakes derailed a promising career.

Nobody has shite happen like the Saints and it continues to this day with that Oschner group.

Weaver:
Positives- learned under Harbaugh, learned Baltimore’s culture, respected defensive coach who improvedMiami’s defense this year, dynamic leader, players play hard for him, insiders say it’s just a matter of time before he’s a head coach, likely to bring in McDaniel/Shanahan offense which will help w continuity
Negatives: never been a head coach, many fans will not be supportive at first, not an offensive coach

I don’t know much about these guys. But those negatives aren’t real negatives. If he’s a leader, I wouldn’t mind bringing in a guy like this and keeping Kubiak.

Main thing is we need better players and need to nail the draft.

Well, there shouldn’t be a “Rooney Rule” in the first place.
