The most consistent players are Pete on Defense and Olave on Offense

Werner

Guy is having an unreal sophomore season. No sophomore slump for him.

Red Rocket. He’s been better than all the QBs everyone wanted, Brady, Rodgers, Russ, Stafford, Winston….

Offense: Andy Dalton
- Its not a fluke that Dalton comes in for the last 5 games and we go from:
17 PPG to 29.6 PPG
11 sacks (in 3 games - 38 dropbacks per game) to 4 sacks (5 games - 32 dropbacks per game)

Why? Because having a QB that can diagnose and adjust the OL matters, so does someone who can play the short/intermediate game.

Defense: Cameron Jordan
- Easy pick would be Pete Werner, but this is a nod to him in his 12th season overall.
- still elite vs the run (8 TFL - T4th)
- still above average vs pass rushing (5 sacks - T19th)

I know its easy to talk about how great the other guys like JJ Watt, Von Miller, Robert Quinn are, but here's some numbers for you.

Games missed:
Cam Jordan 1 (fricking covid protocol)
Robert Quinn 20
Von Miller 28
JJ Watt 43

Sacks:
Von Miller 121.5 (6 this year)
Cam Jordan 112 (5 this year)
JJ Watt 106.5 (4.5 this year)
Robert Quinn 102 (1 this year)

10+ Sack seasons:
Von Miller 7
Cam Jordan 6
JJ Watt 5
Robert Quinn 5

QB Hits:
JJ Watt 299
Von Miller 241
Cam Jordan 215
Robert Quinn 177

TFL:
JJ Watt 183
Von Miller 162
Cam Jordan 145
Robert Quinn 109

PD:
JJ Watt 66
Cam Jordan 56
Von Miller 24
Robert Quinn 20

He is steadily elite and that is with his first 2 years being SLOW af pass rushing for the haters

One could argue, he is the Saints' best draft pick of this century.

I'll take Werner as well.

He's finding his way nicely as a second year player.

Leading the team in tackles so that tells you he's rarely out of position as a LB

My two breakout players are Werner on D and Ruiz on O but Dalton is probably MVP with how well he’s played and gotten the offense running. Werner and Taysom are really pushing him for MVP with their play though.

PFF actually loves Demario Davis way more. He’s their top graded ILB in the NFL

Now I think Pete has done great but Demario seems to be forgotten about some

And this is why I always hated the Winston signing. He cannot mentally do the job. Just the extra half second it takes for him to process information or make the decision to throw into a tight window is a liability.
