Foolish paying that much for a rb when there are hundreds of rb willing to work for cheaper.

Except that when Kamara is healthy, there's maybe 1 other back in the league that can do what he does.

How on earth is this an actual opinion? Yeah, if you’re paying someone as dumb and worthless as you then yes, anyone will do. When you have an elite level talent you don’t just let him walk cause some dude is willing to work for much cheaper but who also is much less talented!

Schefter confirms:

quote:

Saints and Pro-Bowl RB Alvin Kamara are “extremely close” to a lucrative new extension that the two sides are hoping to finalize in the next few days, per sources. The deal would silence any recent trade speculation and keep Kamara in New Orleans during the prime of his career.

There are plenty of backs that can do what he does.

It’s funny how fans fawn over superstars, but as soon as they want to get paid it’s always “I’ve seen better.”

Kamara is a top 3 back. Pay him as such.

The future doesn’t look very bright. This win now mentality will haunt this franchise for years

We've heard for years that the "win now" mentality will haunt the Saints......yet the Saints keep balancing the books and fielding a talented team.

If you want to win, you need good players. Our GM and front office will continue to find ways to minimize the financial impact.

It would just be next year when brees retires, then the books would be balanced

Hill or jameis will start next year

I LOVE Kamara, and everything that he does for our offense, but he's not a top 3 back...

McCaffery, Barkley, and Zeke (I hate to admit) are all, right now, above him... now, if he can return to form, and put up stellar numbers again, then we can revisit this thread and further discuss it...
