The Saints are not looking to move on from DA unless a colossal collapse

I never saw a chance of that this season unless Allen would be involved in some sort of scandal.

There’s no real point, the team is going to bad next year, because of the Olave trade you can’t start rebuilding until 2024 anyway, let Allen take the bullet next year then move on with someone to come in do the rebuild

Yeah if Allen and Carmichael are running them into the ground. The team is not lacking talent to the point where they have to suck.

Doesn’t sound like it. If you want DA gone you might need to hope other teams win here out

Fans want him gone, but the reality is that GMs give coaches more than one season to prove themselves. There are some rare exceptions to this.

well he is definitely one of those cases. Dude was a horrible coach with the raiders. I fault the saints front office though. You dont pick the guy that your former head coach that quit on you tells you to pick.

I’ve said all season long that I think they give Dennis Allen another year. But after the Tampa collapse, I think the players are playing for Dennis Allen’s job.

If we finish below the Falcons, who started Mariota trying to tank and get a top 5 pick for a franchise qb and the Panthers who fired their coach a few weeks into the year they were so bad, I consider that beyond an epic collapse.

I hate this line of thinking. There's no reason, with a competent head coach, this couldn't be a pretty good team next year. Not saying Super Bowl, but at least enjoyable again. Hell, Sean Payton went 9-8 last year and I could argue the situation now is better than it was then, it's just Allen couldn't hold Payton's jock strap.

I personally hope the DA experience is over. I don’t think our roster is as bad as everyone says.

Cap hell and draft picks are a bit overrated IMO, but that’s just me.

We have to find a coach with a plan first and foremost IMO.

They are definitely lacking talent at the most important position, and have serious cap problems. They have some good players, some that are also older (Jordan, Davis) it’s not just a coaching change away from being legitimate contenders again.
