LOL Brees will get everything he can while he can.

Don’t blame him, just is what it is.

I can’t help but blame him if he doesn’t see it this way. You’re right though it’s not who he is

I don’t want to trade for a WR, especially if it could mess up our team chemistry. Would rather get a TE or CB.

If you could guarantee me it wouldn't impact MT13's development, I'd be all about it, but I do think it would be a challenge. The Vikings are one of the few teams recently and they only did it successfully for about a year that had essentially two number ones.

Receivers are just tough to manage. They're not the same as other positions.

Part of me really hopes he is right. A second plus a player may do it.

Now can we afford him?

we cant, not unless they let ingram walk to use his money for AB

thats why this is just a silly pipe dream, but its a nice "what if" fantasy

Could you imagine? Michael Thomas, Dez Bryant, Antonio Brown, and Alvin Kamara on the same field? More importantly, could you imagine them in the same locker room? They would all have to be assigned 24/7 counselors.

Still,

Do not want. AB would destroy everything the FO has built in this locker room. Saints chemistry is unmatched.

I don't think they could satisfy Brown while still getting Thomas and Kamara the touches they both deserve.

Brown has the largest ego in the league, which is really saying something.

I agree. MT is our alpha dog at WR.

He's going to want to be paid before we scoop another high dollar receiver that also views himself as the alpha.

Resentment will follow. Team chemistry will be destroyed.

We need to worry about bringing back our own. Make sure we have the space to give MT, AK, Lattimore, etc good 2nd contracts, which will be soon.

Screw giving up draft capital and messing with team chemistry for an outsider.

Just like Malcolm Butler, I'll take a hard pass.

I disagree. The Steelers organization is a shite show outside of the owner's box.

Tomlin is a great football coach, but everything outside of the game he is terrible at. His wanna be philosophy quotes and overall management is horrible, and he acts like an entitled diva.

The "leader" in that locker room is a rapists who has never said "it's my fault" in his life. The second leader on that team has been feuding with the organization for years, can't stay off the dope, and quit on his team this season.

I honestly don't blame AB for wanting to GTF when his prime years are winding down.

If AB comes here he will have about the same chip on his shoulder that the entire Saints team already has. I say we do it and frick the league up next year

Neither do I. I blame him for the way he handled it. IMO, we have no room for people like that in this locker room.

I talk about locker room culture here to the point that it's annoying, but that's a major reason why last year's team was so special and I don't want to screw that up just to bring in a big name receiver. Michael Thomas is a WR1 with a seemingly volatile ego already. I don't think we need another dramatic WR1 in that mix. Burner WR2...yes. Not AB.

Of course, I could be wrong and the Saints could sign AB and dominate the league. Just my opinion.

You really wouldn't make a deal if it was out there to get AB in what to me feels like Drew's last year?

Depends on a ton of factors. I’m not giving up much to get him. I’d send a 2nd, but I’d want a future 5th or something. Lot of talent, but a lot of unnecessary drama too. Also will be costly and probably cost us MT13 in the long run.

Depends on the health of Meridith and how the staff thinks TreQuan is coming along. If they are good to go, we have more pressing needs than WR.

He’s a great player, but between his attitude, age, demand for money, demand for attention and cost of acquiring I don’t want to trade much for him. Reminds me of a D. Byrd desperation type signing.

Like I said in another thread I would take him on a 1 year deal but how do you trade for that? And as you said a lot of things would need to fall in place and #1 for starters would be a friendly meeting between CSP, Drew, MT and AB

Be glad when FA's starts!

My hope is that we get him. If we're winning games, his antics won't be nearly as bad. I want to go all in on this one season and wreck the league

Tomlin’s actions didn’t bother you? Is it a locker room issue or an issue with Tomlin and Ben? AB told him he needed to rest bc of injury leading up to the Steelers biggest game of the year, and Tomlin sent him home like a little baby. Both guys handled it poorly but ultimately it’s up to the boss to hold shite together

It took one event in a career of 130 games for people to label AB a “locker room cancer”. The guy is never injured, works out year round, mentors young WRs, and is in the midst of the best run for a WR in NFL history

Oh he has an ego? Like that’s a bad thing every legend had an ego. Guy went from a 6th round pick out of central Michigan to one of the best WRs ever. Dude has worked his arse off. He would lift everyone on offense

if you can land AB, you do it.

I just question the logistics of how we'd do it, especially given his contract demands.
