Winston makes some mistakes but I put 80% of the blame on the coaching staff.

You can only work with what you got.

Winston will never be able to run as complicated an offense as Brees, so they are hamstrung.

Yep.

Can’t fix the problem until you know what the problem is.

If you try then your just a parts changer. And that’s expensive and not efficient.

Because he knew he would get exposed as a shitty game manager and needs Payton & drew to carry the load to look competent?

Other reason could be that if Payton comes back to coaching next year, he would need a promotion to leave the Saints to follow Payton

It could be the case of him being a brilliant play designer but a mediocre (or worse) play caller.

Then we also threw 8 or 9 deep bombs which doesn’t match the way they called most of the game.

I will defend the play calling a little here and say this was one of the weaknesses of Winston's games. OC would call a play, and instead of taking what the play was designed for, or what the defense gave him; Winston would take the shot. We obviously do not know what was called, but this was one of his bad habits.

People are piling on carmicheal a little to hard.

Jameis has definitely gone deep when underneath stuff is wide open.

there was nothing that stuck out about him. And even if there was, he’s back to being same old Jameis.

That part of your post contradicts itself.

I don't know how much of it is playing hurt.

He was nowhere near as bad through three games last year, and he has better receivers now.

I say let Winston heal and let Dalton do his job, back up QB. If Dalton steals the job so be it. If he stinks it up also then we know what to do next year. This year isn't over, but putting a hurt QB out there week in and week out and seeing it just isn't working doesn't make sense.

Jameis threw 14 Tds - 2 Ints.

Fool's gold.

Two hyper-efficient games against GB and WAS where he threw 9 TD (a few which were extreme luck and should have been picked) on 29 completions and he still averaged less than 200 yards a game. Dog shite 59% completion percentage. Saints were winning last year in spite of Jameis.

I say this too. Its not like the saints haven't ever relied on backups in reg season games when the starter is hurt.

Jameis wasn't at practice in London today so its not out the question Andy plays out there

I would like for Andy Dalton to play this weekend to truly determine, if Jameis is truly the problem or is it Carmichael. If Andy Dalton can play well, he should could continue to start.

There’s nothing in your post about hate. I’m disappointed. I was hoping for more discussions of racism. Instead I have to read boring football analysis.

In my opinion (and admittedly I’m guessing), when you’re in charge of one side of the ball there are times when you need to chew arse and demand better play and execution and hold people accountable. Certainly was not a problem for Payton, but I don’t think Pete has the chops for that. Again just a guess.

I don't think it is personal hate for Jameis himself its more frustration because everyone knows what his potential is.

I think this saints team is depressed because Sean Payton took their manhood when he left the building. No one wants to play for Dennis Allen. Can you envision DA holding up a Lombardi ? Payton rode players asses. Shite got fixed from one game to the next. DA isn’t the answer.

Carmichael has not really called plays since 2012. I think he may be the problem

HE is the problem! Should have replaced him early on but I guess the old loyalty thing comes into play.
Surely there are better play-callers than what we have.
