Jameis has not been very good this year.

However, last year with Sean Payton the Saints was 5-2 and Jameis threw 14 Tds - 2 Ints. The Saints were playoff bound and completely fell apart after his injury.

Maybe alot of Jameis issues has to do with the offensive play calling and OL play.

I would like for Andy Dalton to play this weekend to truly determine, if Jameis is truly the problem or is it Carmichael. If Andy Dalton can play well, he should could continue to start.

Carmichael has not really called plays since 2012. I think he may be the problem. We should have moved completely away from the Payton offensive regime.

Winston has never been a good QB. Even last year at 5-2, he wasn’t very impressive, there was nothing that stuck out about him. And even if there was, he’s back to being same old Jameis.

He was managing the offense last year, but Payton had handcuffs on him the entire time. That 14/2 looks great until you dig into it. 9 of those TDs came in two games, and one of those he had 5 TDs on 20 passes with 148 yards passing. He was averaging 25 passes per game.

38 attempts per game is a recipie for disaster with a QB who has a penchant for turnovers.

He sucks. Shows moments of athleticism but not a leader not going to win consistently.

Million dollar question. Is Carmichael holding back the offense because of Winston and that's why it look like shite for 3 1/2 qtrs, or is Winston being held back for 3 1/2 Qtrs because Carmichael is a shitty game manager? Or both?

I think this is unfair. He had 15 TDs and 2 INTs. That is very impressive considering his interceptions before and since then. He deserves criticism but he it's okay to acknowledge that his injury fricked us big last year

I don't hate the guy, (well I did when he was on the Bucs) but we have to try something. I would have never thought our offensive production would drop off like it has.

It’s always easy to blame the QB. Winston is definitely struggling & MIGHT not be the answer.

BUT interior OL & RB play has been really bad and not talked about enough.

My biggest concern this year was Guard play.

I am a Boom & Zoom fan BUT…Ingram has been like a B- but the fumbles make him a D. Kamara looks bad - his one big role last week he only had 1 player to beat - he got the minimum yardage.

BUT my biggest disappointment is the DL. Shocked at Davenport’s lack of production. Cam needs to be off the field on 3rd & long or in the interior. He doesn’t have the burst - so far no one does. That guy who flies off the snap & is a headache for the offense.

Because he knew he would get exposed as a shitty game manager and needs Payton & drew to carry the load to look competent?

Other reason could be that if Payton comes back to coaching next year, he would need a promotion to leave the Saints to follow Payton.

It's both man.

Jameis has missed throws and reads.

Carmichael has called a shitty game. The o line hasn't been a top tier line.

I don't think carmichael wanted job for the simple fact he is a nervous wreck with the spotlight on him.

I think Carmichael understood very well how important drew brees was to what they did and operated.

It’s not so much hate as it is HIS BACK IS BROKEN IN FOUR PLACES. 100% Dalton has to be better than crippled Jameis.

Winston makes some mistakes but I put 80% of the blame on the coaching staff. We ran 6 times on 2nd and 10 last game. I believe we had 8 total 2nd and 10. And every single time we set ourselves up with third and long.

This team has the players to air it out all game. But the offense has no identity or rhythm. For example, against Tampa at times we looked like we wanted to win a 6-3 game with the playcalling on offense. Then we also threw 8 or 9 deep bombs which doesn’t match the way they called most of the game.

I’d play Dalton for sure this week especially since Winston isn’t practicing. But if the coaching staff doesn’t figure this out it won’t matter who is at QB

Playcalling has been subpar for sure. Winston has all the physical tools, but cannot grasp the mental game where he needs to be. He is who we thought he was
