I mean I'm not mad at the Saints for trying to get a talent (2nd round pick) for not much (some late round picks), but I expected the dude to maybe try to get through camp first, not just flat out retire.
But in a way it's good because it's one less player taking snaps who doesn't want to be there.

I tried to tell some of you here that there was a reason that NE traded him for a bag of balls…….
Some posters in here (as well as some of the local media) were sucking this dude off all offseason

He missed practice for personal reasons before he decided to retire on his own accord. Nothing bad was said about him or his play leading up to this happening.
Its weird that some of you are taking this as a win when we just lost a piece of WR depth.
Olave/ Tyson have past injury issues, Tipton is on PUP list, and Polk retiring wasn't because of bad play.
Weird arse people.

Not really. Probably as simple as it's not working out and it's just not in him anymore.
He was looking really good throught otas and the first couple days of camp. He was likely to make the roster.

I hope the Saints keep doing things like this. A late round pick swap for a 2nd round pick that was injured? That is a savvy move.
It didn't work out, but taking swings like that is very smart business
