As of today,

He is 32nd of 36 in net yards per punt at 43.1.

He is 24th of 36 in net yards per punt at 39.9.

He leads the league in punts at 35. Patriots punter will catch him after the weekend no doubt.

If we are punting so fricking much, why is our punter not a weapon? Why are we doing rugby punts in THE frickING NFL. That is some Mountain West bullshite.

What is stopping us from actually signing Matt Araiza aka Punt God, a legit weapon if we are so reliant on our defense.

He absolutely sucks

Was he good in the preseason? I don’t remember.

Still trying to figure out how this nobody is still our punter.

Everybody in Louisiana can see this clown is not a good punter, yet he is still on the team. Why?

We revamped the special teams to finish dead last.

I know at some point players have to be accountable, but this coaching staff blows.

Gillikin is currently 7th with a net of 50.4 why did we let him go? He has proven he could nuke the ball

This is my issue with it, and exemplifies what is wrong with this franchise. He's arguably the worst punter in the league, but nearly halfway through the season he's still out there. They don't make changes.

I have no idea why the picked this clown over him. Also, isn't he like a 30 something year old rookie?? This teams IQ sucks

last night we punted from midfield and he pinned them deep at the 19

when punting to the jags from the 15 late in the 4th during a tie game, he punted a 35 yard scud missile with absolutely zero hangtime. Jags started the ball in saints territory. That is sunbelt conference level ineptitude

Dennis Allen is multifaceted horrible.

He will make someone a good DC again, hopefully sooner rather than later.

Dude, the Sunbelt has had several good punters. This is Southland Conference level punting.

Take your punter outside and have him kick towards the parking lot. If there's an above average chance he could bust out someone's driver's side window with his punts, he's probably not NFL caliber.

Gillikin had one of the best rookie years I've seen from a punter in a long time. He dropped off last year, but there's just no justification to keep Hedley over Gillikin, none. It's atrocious and inexcusable. Same with Lutz although many on this board was on the Grupe train, no way I go with a rookie over a proven kicker who is still young himself.

He is not good at all.

Now with the 10 days, its time to bring in punters and kickers.

He can spend less time in tattoo chair and more at practice. Some of the worst punting I have seen in the nfl

Hedley’s last punt of the night was such an exclamation point on this disaster. You are deep in your own territory in a tie game late. You can’t have a punter that throws 35 yard passes down field and hopes of a good roll.

Nfl return men are too good of center fielders and are going to make the play.

We will probably be stuck with both kickers longer than we should because Allen is not going to want to admit he kept the wrong kicker at both positions.

He will stick with both and pray they improve.

Spoiler alert, they won't.

The punter looks scared to death on the field.

They suck.

He ain’t great, no doubt, but he’s nowhere near our biggest problem.
And that’s sad.
