1st place with a losing record doesn't generate much enthusiasm.

It should, winning the division would guarantee at least 1 home playoff game. Win that and you are 2 good games away from the Super Bowl

Obviously that looks like a joke right now but the NFL playoffs are all about being hot at the right time

I felt like the crowd was ready to explode, the team just couldn't generate a play or stop to get them in the game

I'll agree with that

Talking to a guy at work today and I said it was like we were just looking for a way to frick up every 3rd down after stopping them on 1st and 2nd

Hell we couldn't even let them run the fricking clock out

It was very loud on 3rd and 18 and what happened, another long backbreaking conversion.

When we started to come back and had them pinned deep the crowd was ready to go off. Then they hit a deep pass to aj on the sidelines on 3rd and forever and that was it.

ETA: what he said ^^^

I get really sick of yelling every 3rd and 12 and see the defense let them get 14 yards before being touched. So I saved my voice.

stop, Tiger Stadium will always be superior to the dome for games.

AJ green came down with it without being touched.

NFL rules don't allow touching receivers so defensive backs hands are tied unless there is some semblance of a pass rush.

This is the new NFL.

I couldn't agree more. The dome has not been close this year to what its been in years past. It got noisy on the 3rd and 18 and that's about it. Crowd was completely dead yesterday. Also plenty of empty seats all around the dome. Our fans have definitely been spoiled.

Some call it spoiled, some a return to normalcy.

Neither has the team.

After Cincy's 1st possession we were trailing the entire game and most importantly until Stills TD and then the 3rd and 18 there was NOTHING positive. We couldn't even make Cincy run out the clock.

Spoiled is if we're 6-4 right now and fans response was tepid because we aren't the #1 seed.

There is a lot of time between making contact with ball and catching it and running for anther 2 or 3 yds.

Which was exactly the case last year...

It just seems like the games now are more of a social event and the thing to do on Sunday. There is a lot of people in the dome who don't have a clue whats going on and have no interest to cheer whether things are going good or bad. Many people are selling their tickets for profit. I can't blame anyone for that. Just wish they would sell to Saints fans that want to cheer the team on. Not to the opposing team. Green Bay was the most away fans that has been in the dome in a long time. San Fran had its share of fans there too...
