Even Phil Savage who is about as big as a Bama Homer as there is wasn't in love with Robinson.
Savage worked with Saban with the Browns, was a long time scout in the league, was GM of the Browns. Now color analyst for Bama football and Executive with the Senior Bowl.
He said that Robinson had slow feet and was what Bill Polian called a waist-bender. Said typically that is something that you can never get an OL player to get away from.

I guess we went with more of a run blocker LT because we run the ball so damn much
We drafted him because he is capable of playing both sides. He's got good size, is athletic, and has some of the best technique of any college OT you will ever see. The only knock on him is that his arms aren't as long as you would ideally want for a LT, which won't be an issue as he is going to be at RT.

The saints took the Stanford tackle over Lael Collins
Didn't every team with every pick in that draft do the same? I think the dude got railed, but the writing was on the wall with Lael...

I think it is an NFL rule that at least one o lineman per team must have y, k, and z in their last name. Traditional wisdom is the more silent consonants in a row, the better.

Cost of breast reduction prohibitive.

Absolutely! He is more technical, stronger, smarter and way better character!

Saints do not pick SECPlayers

Have you idiots seen Robinson the past few seasons? Or do you just think because he goes to Bama he's a future hall of famer?
He's been hot fricking garbage the past few seasons, jumps offside once a series, and was caught with weed and a gun in Monroe.
Yeah, fricking sign him up.

why a 3 year starter at Alabama was passed on for a 1 year division 1 player?
Listening to some of the national guys this morning, two of them noted that Cam's best year at Bama was his freshman year. His next two years were way off that mark. Seemed to be a big question mark on him because of that.

No he's not better than C Rob. The staff seems to follow the same drafting blueprint every year that nets a 7-9 season.
I seem to remember it netting a Super Bowl win dummy.

No

Cam Robinson is going to either be a G or a right T in the NFL. We don't need a G and why not take the best T in the draft instead? Now we've got insurance for Armstead AND a replacement for Strief when he retires.

Ramzcyk

People want Cam simply because he is familiar and played for Bama. That's it.
