That’s a terrible idea unless Carr transforms into Tom Brady.

They will call Bill and Vrabel I imagine.

I can see Vrabel being very appealing to them, it wouldn't be my choice and I bet her prefers a job like NYJ/G or Dallas, but they will call.

I imagine Ben Johnson will be the first call of every team.

They will interview Aaron Glenn and Flores.

You put the full court press on Ben Johnson before anyone else gets him.

Vance Joseph probably gets a courtesy call being a new orleans guy. And! A payton assistant

I don’t think Bill is realistic because he’ll want a ton of personnel control which would make a few clowns obsolete. But if it is him that’s one bonus.

How do we feel about Vrabel?

Kind of feel like he was a scapegoat in Tennessee. Think he got a raw deal.

I think he's a good coach that would instill discipline and a base.

The only reason why I am not a fan is he ran an antiquated offense in Tennessee and seems like a bit of a meathead, that wants to ground and pound and play defense, and win games 16-10.

I would prefer an innovative offensive coach with an edge, but I understand why people would love the hire and would understand the appeal to the Saints.

He would make them tough.

It’s going to be Aaron Glenn
1. Has connection to the Payton glory days
2. Coaching on one of the best teams in the league so it’s an easy sell to the fans
3. Not enough on his resume to stand up to Mickey so he’ll play nicely as Mickey continues to do dumbass shite to keep us in the Jeff Fischer zone of purgatory

Ben Johnson probably ain't taking this job. He's been picky about the situation and there will be better jobs with a quicker turnaround time available- likely Chicago, maybe Dallas, *possibly* Cincinnati or Philly will be available.

I doubt Belichick takes it either. He probably wants a more solid chance at the playoffs right away.

Guys who would warrant calls/interviews:

- Aaron Glenn: history with New Orleans, supposed to be good culture guy, will the Dennis Allen connection make things weird?

- Brian Flores: Solid record with Miami, great defensive mind, stuff with Tua/off field in Miami makes it a more dicey proposition

- Mike Vrabel: Proven winner. Likes to be involved in player personnel stuff and idk if Loomis will like that.

A dark horse candidate is Joe Brady IMO...he's done a good job in Buffalo, and his tenure at Carolina looks way better in retrospect when you see what has happened there since. He knows Louisiana from his time at LSU and the Saints. I think this could actually be the direction they go, especially if they want an offensive guy after the defensive guy just bombed out.

Belichick is a terrible coach

He failed with the browns. Failing at New England until Brady emerged. Then failed again after Brady left.

It's a call you pretty much have to make.

The funny thing is that the league seemed to change away from what he did best the last few years of his tenure, but now it is going back to ball control offense and stout defense.
