Ingram contract points to the Saints decline.

With all the holes in the roster of this team, this is who they decide to load up with a big contract? Insane. Saints just seem like a totally lost and desperate franchise at this point. Tieing their future to a quickly ageing QB, a average, at best, RB, and a HC whose act has grown stale.

This average running back almost had 1000 yards last year while missing about 5 games or so. Had 805 yards from week 8 on. If he plays those 5 games he should have easily had 1200-1300 yards. Which puts him right behind Marshawn Lynch who just got a big payday. Not to mention he ran behind our injury riddled o-line and he became a pretty dang good pass blocker the last half of the season. So I think we got a steal on that contract.

I think they overpaid the guy. He has one good year at the end of his contract. Time will tell, but this could be another Graham deal - dude gets his money and then lays down on the job

He actually averaged 4.9 ypc the year before his "one good year"

Pretty much all that, Graham played through an injury that most people would sit out for a pretty extended time period. He's actually had pretty bad injuries 2 years in a row. Obviously he isn't as effective playing through injury but to say Graham said frick it after he got paid is worth death penalty in my opinion.
