Ingram hate is borderline Orgeron levels.

The level of hate is similar, the reasoning/fairness of the hate is not even close. Ingram has been a good player for us and is on a really good contract for his production, Orgeron is in way over his head.

Even if true, that doesn't make it a fumble. It was secure when it broke the plane. It could've been knocked into the stands and would've still been a TD.

How Ingram still gets hated on by this fanbase is beyond me. The dude is a top 10 RB in the NFL, hell he's probably almost top 5.

He has to get down on contact in those situations. He keeps pushing forward, with nothing to gain.

He was trying to go down. He had two defenders holding him up. He had the ball wrapped up as tight as anyone could and they still managed to get it out. Give the Bears credit and stop blaming Mark.

It went from a discussion about the two actual fumbles, to the TD jump where the ball clearly broke the plane in the air while Ingram had complete control.

My point was, it doesn't matter what happens to the ball after it breaks the plane w control.

Ingram is a hard runner but has to realize the Bears are very skilled in stripping the ball when backs fight for extra yards. When you’re trying to ice the game and you’re already in FG range(both times), just go down on initial contact. Kinda like a golfer laying up to make par on the 18th to win the tournament. Swallow your pride and play smart. Coaches need to have a teaching session on this point.

No it didnt. At no point were we talking about the TD. You were confused. We were talking about the play earlier in the game where he tried to hurdle a defender and got upended.

Mark is awesome and I love the OP - ageee those were both "one-offs" in terms of them being unlikely fumbles.

Yah I have already eaten some serious crow about Mark in 2014 2015 2016 and I'm happy to keep doing it.

Went from one of my least favorite Saints of all time to one of my favorites with his passion and toughness.

Can you imagine the criticism if he went down in those situations, instead of fighting?

There's no way for him to win with this fanbase

Dude admitted he sucked and fricked up and y’all want to still make excuses for him

We could just let it die and call it what it is. He will be fine

on the other hand, this along with his injury history is exactly why they had signed AP

Peterson im sure.

doesnt change my point, as Ingram is the feature back. Peterson wasn't a replacement, rather a backup insurance policy.

I know, but definitely needed a power back to close that game.

You just don't fumble, and Ingram runs upright and does not have an explosive step.
