Again, High School Sports != Professional Sports on any metric and to use it as a semi quasi comparison for situations is kinda odd.
Wanting to win is wanting to win.

You basically proved the difference in mindset from you and a professional athlete that should essentially show you where you've missed the mark.

Irrational confidence is a real and almost necessary trait to get to where these dudes get.

His bad throws had zero to do with his physical capabilities. There’s miscommunication and this will be an outstanding offense as more reps are had

How many times did he throw the ball > than 10 yards in the air?

I’m not talking about his “bad passes” or poor decision making. It just seemed like he was reluctant to throw the ball down field at all.

So Brees is done, but Brady still has it?

Brady didn't seem to have issues throwing the ball down field.

Mentally Brees is rock solid.

But if he can't throw the ball past 10 yards accurately and consistently, our offense is going to be hard to watch.

I felt more comfortable about relying on our defense before tonight.

Right

Like I get having legit concerns about our 40+ year old QBs arm and athleticism

But not giving one of the greatest football players of all time the benefit of the doubt after a 1-1 start just seems absurd to me

Especially when we got fricking destroyed in the other phases of the game as well

If at any point this season Payton feels Winston is the better option, he should go to that option without hesitation IMO.

100% agree. But I don't believe will do it.

It's not impossible that Brady's arm has a little more life left compared to Brees.

They already have. They publicly called him out for all the anthem shite during the offseason. Why the hell would they respect him now? The fact that these idiots thought it was a good idea to call him out on social media and air their laundry in public just shows what pieces of shite they are. Hell, if they would have had the balls to call him privately and said they had an issue with what he said and talked it out, I would have actually respected that. Instead, they all acted like a bunch of teenage girls and blasted their shite on twitter. frick social media. frick these woke counts. I hope Trump gets re-elected for the sole purpose of pissing them off.

Have you watched the past few seasons?

That’s where he lost us the game tonight. We were out of sync before the defense looked like shite. The 5 yard crossing route inaccuracy has nothing to do with arm strength

You pussies are the bears every time a negative indicator hits the market. When’s the last time the saints looked good offensively Week 2?

You can’t afford to waste an ENTIRE season for nostalgia & a farewell tour in the NFL especially when ur team is supposedly one of the most talented teams in the League

We all love this guy, but also see his time is about done. Ya have to down the field at some point and I am not sure he can do it anymore. Wish he would have called it off after last season. This may be very sad to watch if it continues.

Not a single player on this Saints team will turn on Brees. Especially not publicly

I'm all for this, but it should have been last season.

Not sure why you're so angry.

Brees couldn't throw the ball down field physically. Seemed pretty apparent to me.

If he comes out these next few weeks and start dropping 40 yard dimes, then I'll eat crow. But I feel pretty confident we won't see that.

He was, at worst, the 3rd or 4th best QB in the NFL last season.

Agreed but I'm also not pushing the panic button after 2 games.

As someone stated in this thread, he was said to be done last season then immediately the offense went on a tear.

Especially since one of those games was a double digit win against our division rival with the “better QB”
