It’s the first days of camp and he’s coming off 2 injuries. Much like Burrow straining his calf and getting carted off I think it’s just part of the body getting acclimated to playing football again. Everyone is probably sore on some body part. They will be extra cautious with Penning and give him a few days off to rest and I think he will be back out there like Burrow will for Cincy. I’m choosing to be positive about this kid because he really does bring that nasty vibe you want your OL to have and it rubs off on the other players. He’s had a tough go of it but I think this year we finally get to see what he’s got and he will be starting at LT week 1 for the Saints.

Who cares about burrow. Has nothing to do with penning or the saints. Leave the Ohio born guy out of it

Jesus Christ I was just putting Burrow as an example. This board wants to be so fricking negative all the time. It’s sad. Excuse me for trying to be positive.

You can choose to be positive all you want, but I’m positive if we had a do over on last years pick it wouldn’t be Penning.

He had surgery on each foot last year. He was already limited in practice. Now he’s out with foot. He’s 6’7” 325

Just the facts. There is literally nothing positive to pull from this situation.

No but dude do you understand that if literally everything goes right for Trevor Penning he’s going to be an All-Pro OL for us? Like, all we need is literally everything to go right, 3 foot injuries in a season be damned. Just trying to be positive bro.

The point still stands. The onus is on Penning to show he can sustain health heading into week 1

I think over half of the bastards on TD.com never played an organized sport in their pathetic lives. You can tell the true Tiger and Saints fans who understand the in and outs and the victories and defeats are here. The negative nancies want to cry and moan, insult the athletes and coaches. Frustration is always in play for any fan. Bashing everyone all the time is crazy. It's normal for disappointment to creep in but dam don't be an àsshole belittling everyone. Conversation is good without being a dick. IMO. Good luck to a new season upcoming.

Comparing Burrow injuries to Penning injuries and saying we shouldn’t be worried abo it Penning bc of Burrow, is wild on so many different levels.

You really shouldn’t compare Penning injuries to anything other than other o line injuries or perhaps d line injuries.

I stopped reading right here. When you now consider it’s injury number 3 in a little over a year being in the league! There’s a lot to be concerned about!
