Seriously curious he's a great coach I will be interested to see how he cuts his turnovers. 30 picks 6 fumbles lost. Peyton is the guy and Jamies had a year to watch a HOF vet who takes care of the ball.

What record yall expecting. Hell of a defense. Didnt matter in Tampa tho

Honestly I’m kinda curious to see how much he thinks the eye surgery helped. Dude would squint like Mr Magoo.

He never had a good defense in Tampa.

That's why he threw for 5,000 yards & 30 INT's.

That TB defense in 2019 wasn’t bad at all. Best in the league against the run

Yeah but they were 30th against the pass. Teams didn’t run on them bc they were too busy shredding their secondary

didnt Brady have a terrible INT year under Arians? feels like the scheme could be a big part of the issue.

Payton is very good about playing to a player's strength. Look at the Teddy games.

He looked slimmed down last year vs in Tampa. Maybe more mobile now, plus having lasik to see better can’t hurt...

I feel pretty good about a Payton/Winston combo. Winston could be great with the right support

Thinking SP will get Jameis on the move a bit more and out of the pocket ?

People need to remember Arians is an idiot.

He would rather throw long interceptions than short completions.

Damn. This should be its own sticky thread. I’ve always thought he wasn’t terrible, but this validates it. And we got a prove it deal. Ha.

they never seemed to run the ball well or be in a game flow that called for it too.

Not saying that is the end all be all but the we can actually run the ball. Even did it well last year when teams were keying harder on it.

I’ve watched Jameis absolutely eviscerate opposing defenses in Tampa. The Rams game comes to mind first and foremost but there were many examples. I think CSP if he’s being totally honest would tell you how absolutely giddy he is right now with the opportunity to follow up Brees’ retirement and multiple double digit wins seasons with Jameis on a really cheap deal.

It may not work out, but there is absolutely a chance that it ABSOLUTELY does...and does for a decade plus. You can’t say the same for some of the game manager types that people have brought up being better options.

He also constantly put his defense in terrible position and threw 10 1st Quarter picks as well as 10 4th Quarter picks.

You can’t blame defense when you’re throwing 20+ picks on you’re own side of the field and 16 picks in the first half of games.
