While you are right about Jones cost, but he wasn’t available last offseason and again I didn’t want Carr because of the cost.

The carr deal isn't looking so great these days. Think I prefer it over what the eagles gave hurts though. I think that one is gonna look really bad in a year

Huh? Hurts is a top 5-6 qb in the nfl. Yes he is small and an injury risk, but i think he is proven to deserve top 5ish money. And he has a great organization building a monster around him

Nobody said we had the ability to acquire Mac in the offseason, I was simply responding to my lil'est lil guy, paulbeasy, who - instead of eating his crow - chose to toss out a Mac Jones shot. Hurts' passer rating by year (threw out rookie)...

It's obviously still early, but if he's an 80s passer rating guy, that contract will be a disaster.

I think what really troubles me is the silence from our GM and owner.
I assume talks are going on behind closed doors about this team, but it's clear Gayle doesn't care about the Saints.

Not only this but I have it on pretty good authority from a source close to the org (this board can choose to blow off this contact if they do choose) that they’re actively stifling questions and reporting about the offense. They have invested a lot in it monetarily and do not want it scrutinized.

But you're deviating from your original argument like you always do. You said Mac was better than Derek, where if anything they're similar qbs and Mac has more turnovers between the two.
