Brees should have 4-6 good years left (barring injury of course). I do see AJ being a good Pro QB though - no lie.
You're just gonna get LSU hate here talking about AJ.

AJ McCarron. 2x back-to-back BCS NC and current Alabama QB.
Also - he bangs hot chicks.

Listening to you LSU/Saints fans makes me laugh. I'd take an LSU QB in a heartbeat in ATL as long as he was a good QB.
Some of y'all need to take your purple-n-gold retard shades off! Or... maybe y'all just haven't seen a good QB in such a long time in Baton Rouge - you don't know what one is? HIYOOOO

I don't think he will be a good pro QB

Tebow was a running QB first - even in college. AJ McCarron drops bombs. Ask the Honey Badger or go take a look at the BCS NC game from the last 2 years.

Cute pic though. Is that the best LSU has cause I saw a lot of LSU tears on Jan 9th 2012. But I digress from the LSU shite talking. Fact is, they're 2 different types of QBs.

I personally think McCarron could be good in the NFL given the normal development/progression.

Title game on ESPN u right now, those throws would beat anyone. Not a flame, I've always like the saints, to see AJ playing for them would be a great thing.

Dude doesn't do a lot of whole field reads and a lot of his throws when he goes vertical are predetermined reads.

No offense, but Brees' background was at Purdue running a one-back derivative of the Spread offense for Joe Tiller. Fun Fact: Kevin Sumlin was his WR Coach.

Oh, and Cam Cameron developed him early in his career.

As good as you think he is, professional quarterbacking is a far, far cry from what he's currently doing. He's had dominant run games, dominant o lines, and dominant defenses.

In the NFL, he will routinely face adversity and defenses that are far superior to anything he has faced before in his life.

I don't see him being an elite, Brees/Rodgers/Brady/Peyton. No offense, but that's not to say he might not be a good QB in the NFL.

But elite? Not a shot in my view...

The fact is, he is 6'4, makes great reads, understands the game, real team guy, makes NFL throws, and is a proven winner. He picked apart the best LSU defense ever, as a soph. And let's not pretend we could run at will that game, or that we had dominant receivers. No respect.

Agreed, fact is, as good as NFL scouts are - they're imperfect and rating how a college QB will do in the NFL is somewhat of a crapshoot.
Hell, take Brees for example - he was a "bust" in SD and then revived his career in NO. Combo of getting the right coach for the right QB (or vice versa), makes or breaks the QB/head coach.
