J'ville is a arm pit. If you love excessive urban sprawl done excessively bad you will love it. As a bonus if you are into traffic lights? This is your asphalt paradise

Forever as long as the tickets sell. You can’t move a team that sells out game after game. I don’t think there is really a market for an nfl franchise now that Vegas and LA are satisfied. Those were the two long standing markets that were lacking.

No way the owners would approve a move from Nola without the collapse of fan support, and lack of stadium investment

yea, if you totally remove the 500-600 level it is as up to date as any stadium in the country

dude, there are bathrooms around the dome that have not been updated in decades!!!

New Orleans was very fortunate to even have a chance to get Hornets now Pelicans
Lucky they didn't lose them to Oklahoma after Katrina
If NBA decides not to expand I could easily see Gayle selling one day and them moving

I think the whole point of the Superdome renovations were to extend the Saints lease if completed
I doubt Gayle ever moves the Saints or if she does sell, would mandate they stay in New Orleans

The Dome is in the PERFECT location in the city that, despite all the crime and culcha, does the best job of hosting big events of any.

People may want a new stadium, but there’s no way to recreate the perfection that is the Dome.

Demolish it and build a new stadium in the same spot

If the citizens would stop voting in democratic leaders that wouldn't be an issue lol.

That may have been true 20-30 years ago but new orleans cant hold a candle to vegas when it comes to putting on events.

Superdome is fine, but the city is a dump

Honestly Slidell would be a good location for a new stadium when it's time. All the money is moving to the Northshore

If Slidell can handle a 1-2 billion dollar investment I guess.

The whole parish probably could but Slidell where three interstates meet is the most obvious location

You want to build a new stadium to update the bathrooms?

My seats are in 600 level. I take a piss and wash my hands in the carousel sink. I actually think it’s unique and efficient.

New Orleans is 47th at 1.246 million

I’m assuming that’s the metro area??? Because the population in Nola is less than half of that or a third of that with the outflow of citizens increasing every month

That and the concourses cannot be expanded due to the structure, from what I understand. It’s all second rate and outdated, and it’s a large part of the stadium. You can’t claim state of the art when the whole upper level is arse

Jacksonville is the largest city in the US by land area and more and more people move to Florida every year. People are moving out of Louisiana by contrast.

People moving there usually already have sports allegiances.

You think they don’t care about the ticket and concession revenue that the terrace section brings?
