He may be the future but the line needs to block and receivers need to actually catch passes

Haener makes reads, is accurate, and is decisive. Granted, he was mostly playing in garbage time. We aren't making the playoffs.

Not really, though I read here we got a steal with Rattler and the better qb than Sean Payton who reached in the first in Nix.

You could put prime brady or brees on this team and they would not make the playoffs. An injury riddled oline that even when healthy played over its head (remember oline was a huge question mark before the season) and JV high school receivers at best outside of Olave (who is getting the soft tag attached to him) and shaheed which neither are #1 options. So, you will see flashes of good play but that is about it. This team is arse and should have been blown up right after payton left. Now here we are.

Rattler is not it. But people act like he's the only problem with the offense. The problem starts with the offensive line.

He's bad. Throwing young QBs in as starters when they aren't absolute studs is usually a disaster. That's the case with Rattler.

He got benched and rightfully so.

I think the benching was the right decision for the game, but also for Rattler. He's a bit arrogant and he needs to realize that it takes more than what he's capable of doing right now. Part of me thinks Rattler would have happily kept sucking it up never realizing how bad he's been playing.

Rattler is a high upside guy. But he was drafted in the 5th round for a reason. Anyone drafted in the 5th round is a backup until proven otherwise. He was never picked to be “the future”. But at this point I’d still rather watch him than dumbass carr.
