Look more poised than a 9 year vet that has been in the same offensive system for multiple years now?

Tackysweater? Question to you sir...

You asked why jameis was on the team.. I told you he shouldn't and justified why I thought that. Your turn to argue the counter point.. This isn't difficult.

So you know better than the coaching staff?

Hiding behind “the coaching staff". Bold move

Hiding behind? Lol
I’m not the one acting like I know more than nfl staffs

I can answer that. He’s on the team because we’d be basically paying him to not play for us. Still needed a vet on the team and he knows or should know the system by now. We couldn’t afford to pay Dalton, b/c it would have been new money against the cap. Because we overpaid him on the two year deal he signed, we were pretty much stuck with him this year to ease the cap burden.

Cause Jameis can’t read a D to save his life. He can’t anticipate windows and he can’t get his protections right. He’s got all the talent in the world but he’s missing something upstairs. I hear he’s a smart guy. Maybe he just doesn’t like to study film and put the work in? Idk

The better question is why a "quarterback" who has started in this league for over 5 years throws a punt into quadruple coverage.

Pretty sure we're overanalyzing this. Saints know what they have in Jameis, maybe they asked him to focus on a couple players to see how they perform. That could explain why Jameis held the ball so long, he was trying to get to a specific guy (Perry, maybe? Miller in the passing game?)
Haener on the other hand, looked like he was trying to make a play out there. You're looking at him, more than the guys he's throwing it to.

Jameis is on the team because when they signed him they didn't have a capable backup Q.B.. Now if they knew Jake would be doing so well, Jameis would probably be somewhere else.

I think this is a good point. Jameis really doesn’t have much to prove out there. He is what he is at this point and the staff knows that.
They also had a new play caller lastnight, maybe they wanted to ease him into his first game calling plays with a veteran QB leading the huddle.

Reading a defense requires a certain type of thinking that is only partly tied to intelligence. Seeing it on film when you watch it over and over is different than picking it up in a game at game speed without the overview perspective of a video. I think (purely speculative) that spatial recognition is part of that, some people just don't have that and some people seem to instinctively possess it regardless of intellect.

I guess more poised is a worse comp% and worse qb rating after 2 games.
Jameis has outplayed Jake in these first two games. There's not a statistic out there that proves that wrong.
Yet another terrible thread from towny

He has a real coaching staff with a real offensive coordinator

Good news guys. TackySweater officially will not criticize a single aspect of any future professional sport.
He doesn’t know as much as the coaches, so he won’t question or even discuss coaching decisions.
He doesn’t know as much as the lifetime referees, so he won’t question or even discuss officiating decisions.
He doesn’t know as much as the players, so he won’t question or even discuss players decisions.
He will simply sit there and respond “yes, football is happening.”
Bro what kind of logic….(it’s actually literally a logical fallacy. Argument from authority. Look it up)
