Draft MH Jr, pick Daniels or top QB with Denver’s 2nd. Bring in Ben Johnson as HC, try to keep DA as DC(long shot, likely goes to Denver if demoted)… throw in AK or MT13 if you have to… Fresh start!

Can you show your work and explain how all of these player toss ins will have a negligible impact on our cap?

They have a negative impact already, with a rookie qb and wr will lessen the impact of dead money for a season or two. It’s not like we aren’t in cap hell annually anyway.

Adding AK or MT13 would make it better for taking Carr off our hands for CHI.

Take Carr out of the trade then, we’d have to eat his dead money either way. Keep him for insurance.

We cannot trade Carr, it is rendered impossible because of the cap.

Michael Thomas and the Saints agreed to a renegotiated contract to keep Thomas on the Saints in 2023. The contract, which has an effective length of one year, has a base value of $10 million of which $6.26 million is guaranteed at signing. Thomas' 2024 salary includes an incentivized roster bonus worth $3.74 million that is based on games active in 2023. If earned these will be guaranteed if on the roster on the 1st day of the 2024 league year. Thomas contract contains what are four effective void years as the structure of the contract is designed to designate Thomas as a post June 1 cut at the start of the 2024 league year or extend him prior to the start of the league year. The intent of the contract is to have Thomas as a free agent in 2024.

Saints need fire Loomis and DA. Saints are in cap hell every year that is old football management. Bring in a new front and staff let them build a new roster using draft. We have 19 players on roster will be out of football in 3 yrs. I hate say it. A 4 win season and 60 mil in dead cap next 2 yrs. This will get us out off this mess.

I feel like getting rid of MT would benefit us more than AK. AK is good in running and passing game.

We have such few true tradable players of any significant value.

Lattimore and Olave may be of the few. Adebo and Alontae may have some.

Reasonable idea

Carr

He has negative value. You can't trade him. You have to cut him and that won't help for 2 years. But, it needs to happen.

Bring in Ben Johnson as HC

We are probably a couple years away from being able to compete. I think the focus needs to be acquiring young talent and ridding ourselves of these vet contracts. That's goign to take a couple of years and losing is paramount so that you can get that good young talent. I don't think it makes sense to bring in a Ben Johnson type. I'd rather a guy that will build a team culture and who is willing to go through a couple of hard seasons.

You don’t understand how the salary cap works AND think this is Madden 24. The Saints are screwed for years to come due to Loomis viewing this team as a Super Bowl contender in the contracts he continues to give out.

Who do you think would trade for Carr? You can't force him upon other teams. You can trade good players, not bad ones.

Hilarious, Carr has negative value, Olave has some value but not as much as you think. No reason to trade him.

Nobody wants a QB who’s TD/int ratio is 50/50 with only 5 TDs in 7 games, especially at the number that we’re paying him

Yeah this is all fantasy land stuff. It’s kind of wild though that even in our biggest fantasy things aren’t so good lol.
