Give us your picks that you would have taken

First: Stokes, Moerhig, JOK, or trade back. Honestly, the first round pick here is difficult.
Second: I like this pick
Third: Amari Rodgers
Fourth: Hate this pick. I'd rather have Jabril Cox

Then why reach so bad and just draft BPA?

Bc maybe they’re not a reach. We still have a loaded roster and Payton is adding high IQ and high character players that fit our team/scheme. We’re not going into this draft having to rebuild, my guy.

Cox was gone when we picked in the 4th.

Yea I didn’t think anyone stood out in the first. I would have taken Newsome if he dropped. After he didn’t I woukd have tried to trade down and pick up extras 3rd round picks If possible.

Loved the 2017 draft after it was over. Thought the two picks of McCoy and CGJ were money that year. Didn’t care for trading two firsts for Davenport but thought he may turn out to be worth the gamble. DE was horrible that year anyway and it was a big need. Didn’t love it or hate it the pick I guess.

Would love to see proof

I’m willing to bet you melted over almost every pick except Lattimore

I love the Lions draft this year. It’s been very good. Also like the Panthers draft.

it seems as if Payton Turner was a reach but I think last night in the 2nd round we did good.

I think if anything I'm interested to see what Book does.

sure, it could turn out crAppy but we'll see.

I would have rather had Trask but he wasn't available.

QB was a need and may even still be after this season. We'll see.

Didn’t realize we were loaded at LB and pass rushers? But, I hope you are right and I am wrong for the Saints sake.

It’s on saintsreport. I have the same name. Only issue I had with the draft, didn’t like Anzalone because of his injury issues. I really wanted Carl Lawson bad in the 3rd. Which I know, is ironic b/c he dropped bc of injuries. I wanted him and woulda took him over Trex or Anzalone.

I loved the Lattimore pick, thought he was going top 3 that year to the 9ers.

It came out that the Bills wanted him at #30.

Also, picks #30, #31, & #32 were DE/Edge guys.

I doubt he would've made it to the 2nd round.

I also liked Trask, but no way in the 2nd. Maybe with the last pick we had in the 3rd if he was there.

Okay.

Listen, i don't not like Turner cause honestly I don't know much about the kid.

I liked that we went defense with the first 3 picks and QB was a need.

Time will tell if the picks are gonna turn out right but we've addressed areas of need so far.

We have an all pro LB in Demario already. There was a hole there with losing anzalone and Kwon. So we drafted what looks like a LB who is gonna play snaps. Baun has the ability to make the next step if he stays healthy.

We still have Jordan who is aging, but Davenport can get after it and Granderson had 5 sacks last year in limited snaps and he is due to break out even more. And we drafted a young hungry pass rusher. We still have a lot of depth in the front 7. Were fine. Health can be a concern but we’re solid.

I actually liked Payton Turner over the other defensive ends in the draft. He just didn’t have the hype. A lot of the other guys were overhyped. There is nothing on tape to me that says Kwity Paye is better than Payton Turner. Wouldn’t doubt that the saints had Payton as the top DE on their board. Plus you got to love the motor on this kid. He has no quit.

I’m the opposite. This is the most I’ve been satisfied with a Saints draft in a few years. Not sure how any of them will pan out, but there’s a ton of potential with all of them right now.

Why? They haven’t been that great.

If anything that makes me feel better about this draft.

The 2017 draft is one of the best if not the best in the last 20 years.

2018 is looking really bad unless Davenport turns into a probowler. Giving up the extra first makes it horrendous if he doesn’t improve. Like I said earlier, I wanted Alexander in the first that year. Hated the Leonard pick like everyone. Didn’t have an opinion either way on Tre’quan to be honest.

Loved the 2019 draft at the time even with almost no picks. Those were the exact two picks I would have made. Cant believe CGJ was still there in the 4th. Was easily a 2nd round talent. Dude almost single handily best LSU that year.

Also liked last years draft. I really really wanted Jefferson. Said it numerous times before the draft on here in the draft threads when everyone was crying for Queen. But we didn’t move up for him. I did like the Ruiz pick, thought it was solid, but like I said was t my first choice. Also really liked the Trautman pick who I thought was way better than most of the tight ends taken ahead of him. Great value pick in the 3rd.
I liked Baun the player and thought he was also a great value where we got him. But I saw him more as a 3-4 outside backer. Not sure where he will fit in on this D. But liked the prospect.

Yea 19,20 drafts seems we may have possibly (hopefully) hit on the small amount of players we drafted, definitely not a lot of draft picks, but made out with some good players.

You people are idiots. These picks can't be judged until we see them play. You may not like them because you are all proven GMs and know everything but until they play, what you think doesn't matter. Oh and 2017 wasn't CGJ and McCoy. That was 2019.
