I have liked the past several Saints drafts since we hired Ireland. Loved the 2017 draft after it was over. Thought the two picks of McCoy and CGJ were money that year. Didn’t care for trading two firsts for Davenport but thought he may turn out to be worth the gamble. DE was horrible that year anyway and it was a big need. Didn’t love it or hate it the pick I guess.

Just not getting a good feeling about this draft. Hope I’m wrong though. I woulda went in a different direction on almost every pick.

We were picking 28th. Very rarely do ppl love a draft when you are picking near the end of every round.

This year is different.

Many players opted out and did not play last year, so the average fan has no knowledge of the player.

Moehring in the first
Basham in the 2nd
Wouldnt make the trade with Denver. Would actually take the player they took with our pick
Meinertz and either Browning who they also took or Cox
Brevin Jordan in the 4th

Honestly did t like anything at the end of the first. Woukd have tried to trade down.

Yeah, Adebo was drafted to start right away. So we will see how it plays out. Sink or swim.

This has a feeling of Payton and Loomis making up in their previous draft misses more than anything else.
Let’s reach for a pass rusher bc we screwed up the Davenport pick, let’s reach for a LB bc we were wrong about Anzalone. Hey, while we’re at it, let’s draft a QB bc we may have forgot to address that during the final years of a Hall of Fame QB.

I am sorry you don’t like the picks but I don’t feel like your draft is better than the saints actual draft.

Do you really think CSP is that pathetic? He's drafting the best players for his team.

He's not a child trying to make himself look good

Then why reach so bad and just draft BPA? And don’t tell me they just have a different board than the experts.

Very underwhelming draft. The only pick I don't hate is Adebo. I completely hate the Ian book selection. I'm typically a glass half full guy but this draft is very meh.

Why not? They do.

The media aren't the experts...people in NFL FO's are.

I really don't think our 1st 2 picks were reaches, & our 3rd rounder was a complete steal imo.

I'll give you Ian Book, but CSP likes him & we don't pick again until the VERY LATE 6th round. If that was CSP's guy...then he didn't want to take the chance of him not making it to the late 6th.

We will know in 4-5 years. I made a thread like this on ssintsreport how we screwed up draftin Rankins instead of Tunsil, got totally blasted for it. 5 years later Tunsil trade pulled in a total of 4 first rounds picks, a second round pick, and a third rounder. We may get a 5th round comp pick for Rankins. So we see who was right about that pick.

Also thought we should have targeted jaire alexsnder instead of Davenport that draft. Think most on here woukd make that trade now. So we will see.

I like the Werner and Adebo picks, Turner I just don’t know enough about but I think there were better players on board.. not a fan of the book pick at all
