— Earn the #1 seed in the NFC.
— Win the Super Bowl in a blowout.
—- Set the all time point scored SB record.
—- Carr will be named NFL MVP.
—- Loomis will win NFL Executive of Year
—- Loomis will be next NFL Commissioner

So you started this thread to inform this board it was great to get a win and that the Panthers aren’t a good team. I for one want to thank you for the tremendous insight. Here I was thinking we just beat the best team in the NFL.

You’ve been throughly embarrassed in this thread, so I’m not saying anything that hasn’t already been said, but what are we to wait on, exactly? And what is the value of waiting on it?

We may go 1-16 this year, and this may be the only week of pure joy we get all season? Why in the world would we rob ourselves of that? What is the value of fans curbing their enthusiasm in anything, ever? Life’s too short. We got a finite amount of seasons and games left in each of ours. I’ll adjust my enthusiasm accordingly. But frick all this every season that doesn’t end in a Super Bowl championship is a failure. I’m not waiting until we hoist another Lombardi to experience joy when my teams win. What if we took that approach in ‘09’ and didn’t allow ourselves the joy of the journey, the pride of the ride? That’s all we get as fans, anyway. The joy of the journey. And I’ll be damned if I’m gonna ever “wait” for some imaginary hammer to drop that might not ever. Again, life’s way too short to not celebrate games like that whenever they present themselves. Especially in light of the contrast of such negative expectations. Eat, drink, and be merry. For one tomorrow we lose. But not the next 6 tomorrows.
