New info emerges on why the QBs were ineligible

The QBs got together on their off day to watch film. The next day, Driskel tests positive. The NFL reviews surveillance video of the off-day study session, and finds the QBs were wearing their masks but took them off to eat/drink or briefly talk. The NFL pulled all the QBs off the field during the middle of a practice and ruled them all ineligible to play. Wouldn't let them reschedule or add a new QB (an assistant coach).

I’m actually pissed for Broncos fans. Brings up old PTSD Bountygate “I’ll make an example of you, even if unjustified” kind of BS.

Honestly though, the saints would have gotten fricked if they postponed the game. Then all of the sudden the saints have to play on a short week. Guys don’t get as long to recover and gameplan. Then you end up with a bunch of injuries against the falcons. The falcons are a dangerous team and I want a full week to gameplan.

Now if any of the quarterbacks come out and test positive for covid that would justify the nfl’s thought. But from a saints fan perspective I’m glad they did it the way they did. The saints are fighting for a 1 seed. The Broncos are fighting for a draft pick.

The NFL fricking sucks. Mask wearing is virtue signaling, so this is right up their ally.

If the shoe was on the other foot and we couldn't start one of our QBs every fan here would be absolutely livid and calling for Goodell's head.

Key word, every fanatic here.

The NFL sent out a memo in September about this very thing so EVERYONE knows that there will be competitive disadvantages at one point or another due to the virus.

Love that we were given an easy win but yeah the fact that this game was played is bullshite. Forcing a team to ask a running back to run into a brick wall 30 times a game is unnecessarily risking injuries. That’s exactly what happened to Philip Linsey.

It was Godell acting like a petulant parent hell bent on trying to "send a message" to the league. A league that, to date, has not had one single player stay overnight in a hospital for covid. Let alone die.

That would be nice. Or if they even just treated us fairly. I’d take that too.

I’d feel bad if Denver was in the playoff race

Fortunately they are not so it’s not as big of a deal

Goodell is a fricking clown.

Yes, Broncos got fricked. Saints got fricked this week too and had a pick taken away.

Goodell is a fricking clown.

Goodell has ruined/is ruining the league and the owners that refuse to fire him are just as responsible.

Yah that’s the only bright side is that they’d likely want a “guiltless” loss that could be blamed on the league.

I hate what happened and didn’t watch much of the game as a result

As long as the league continues to rake in cash, nothing will change.

I do think the Broncos got the bad end of the deal, and I am one who doesn't completely agree with the mask rules or the wearing of masks, but in fairness to Goddell and the NFL they did implement a rule, and the Broncos broke that rule and paid the consequence. Not sure why a lot of folks on here pick and chose when they want to blame the rule breaker (democrats) and then blame the rule enforcer (Goddell) when it's convenient for their agenda. A rule is a rule...
