Going back into Past seasons and seeing old Saints uniformsPosted by AustinKnight

Why did we ever get rid of the Louisiana State Logo on the sleeve or chest?
Always thought it looked great and showed pride..

Not sure but they should use that logo more. FWIW the best saints uniforms were the ones wore late 70’s early 80’s

Nothing touches our color rush jerseys. Wish they would do the black version the same. Love the stripes and feel we don't need the redundant fleur de lis on the sleeves.

The first thing they need to do is make the helmets pop more. They are too bland. Make them more gold.

Black and old gold is one of the best color schemes in the league, but the uniform design just fails to reach it's potential. Step 1: Match the pants stripe with the helmet stripe (or at least make it a double-stripe like the color-rush unis). I could be wrong, but I think the Saints are the only team in the league with a double stripe on the hat and solid stripe on their pants. Step 2: lose the solid black pants. They aren't doing yoga out there. Step 3: Add a little detail to the socks.
Other than when Nike is allowed to add their creative stupidity to the uniforms, most teams in the last few decades have gone back to traditional uniforms:
Bills
49ers
Giants
Jets
Chargers
Vikings
and many fans would love to see their teams follow suit....Patriots, Dolphins, Rams, Broncos, Eagles

God I love those color rush uniforms. Is there anyone who doesn't? It has to be unanimous, right?

I usually hate white on white, but I love this combo. Mainly it is because of the stripes and color of the gold. It is really sharp looking.

I'm too lazy but someone should post some pics of the evolution of the uniform. I think I really llked the late 80s/early 90s look, but can't remember what it looked like.
When exactly did they change the size of the fleur-de-lis on the helmets?

They used to be a bronzier gold. They lightened everything up with the Nike switch and it makes me want to kill Nike. I have a Saints fleur de lis that I wanted to put on my car but I refuse to use that goddamn pussy arse shade of gold that they've tried to pass off as Saints gold.

I loved the brass-ier colored helmet and definitely the larger fleur de lis
