Great job by DA keeping this team focused on all the goals in front of them there for the taking.

Don’t give up on this team!

Fans don't get paid to play. And players don't necessarily care about this team beyond this season.

frick off dude. It doesn’t take a brain surgeon to realize this team has a tremendously low ceiling. We beat a mediocre team every few weeks and you fricktards come out talking shite about your unyielding fandom to make yourselves feel better. The coaching/front office suck and you suck.

Fans don’t want the team to “give up” or lack pride. But at the same time, if you finish ever year in the middle of the pack, you lack high round draft picks that can elevate you, as well as slowing the decline or terminating of coaches and admin that may need to happen.

Yay we beat the Bucs, and I saw that dropped us from 9 to 15. Let’s say we beat the Falcons too and drop to 18. That’s great, but two wins now retards the progress of the franchise going forward.

Or you can just learn a losing and give up culture and be perennial losers. How did Carolina do with their pick this year? Oh yeah, they'll have another high one coming.

But-but-but...we beat a team that was barely above .500 and has only beat one team with a winning record!

You actually make a good point without even trying. With Loomis, Allen, and company drafting we may is we’ll trade away all our picks. The likelihood of the draft making a difference is slim and none. By the way, Carolina traded their pick away. They don’t have the #1 pick this year.

Guess that all worked out real nice for them.

So explain to me what we will accomplish, since we give up so easily? Oh right, screwing up draft position and not making the playoffs.

The team certainly hasn’t given up, but, based on reporting from Underhill, that is credit not to the hapless Allen, but to the team leaders like DD, Cam, and TM.

High draft picks don’t mean anything. The sentiment that you need a top 5 pick to get better is dumb

Going to playoffs and immediately getting bounced also means nothing. Not winning shite with carr.

A thousand percent this. If the Saints happen to make the playoffs, they won’t go far.

When you need a QB it’s not really a bad sentiment….

If it’s not the Madden-esque trade mentality, it’s the scorched earth mentality. Thank goodness the real world doesn’t think like some of you. Tanking seasons for a high draft pick does nothing positive. Teams that do that develop a losing culture that takes years to correct. Getting the team out of salary cap hell though? Would help immensely. Loomis is the first person that needs his walking papers. Dude has the team stuck with expensive players who are all well past their prime. No Coach worth his salt is going to want to come into a place where he can’t get players he wants except the handful through the draft gamble. Carmichael is the very next person you fire. While not exceptional, this offense is certainly capable of more than 14-20 points ppg. When your best player is a utility guy, there’s a problem. Be happy the current players are still competing. They could be like the Chargers giving up 60+ points to other subpar teams.

so you'd rather pick at the bottom than top 5 especially if you want a stud QB or LT? or DE? so based on law of averages you prefer lower picks for better players?

the argument is not getting marginally better.....we need a franchise Qb and we need studs.
