They overthought him big time last season. Let him rush the QB. All that drop back in coverage nonsense was a waste. He was on a tear to start the season affecting the QB.

Good contract.

We have roughly $200K in space without the Robertson and Sanford deals on the books. Someone has to be extended or restructured.

Anyone who thinks this was a bad signing at this point is clueless. Even if he doesn't work out great as a player, for these numbers you roll the dice and hope worst case he's a locker room leader and young guys learn and best case he stays healthy and as Chad said you upgrade multiple positions.

With those contract details I see zero downside here
