Jared Cook intrigues me

This would be so boss!

I'd love to see the Honeybadger in the black and gold but I'd rather see him stay away from New Orleans and stay clean.
I believe he is at a point in his life and career that he is mature enough.

How often has that happened - someone is named All-Pro but doesn't get invited to the Pro Bowl? I always just assumed that All-Pro was an elite subset of the guys invited to the Pro Bowl.

Since Bridgewater will probably be way too expensive...What does everyone think about Ryan Fitzpatrick or Tyrod Taylor as our #2 QB?
I'd take either of them if the price isn't too high. Besides Foles & Bridgewater, those 2 seem like the only F.A. QB's that are worth a shite. Josh McCown looks like a decent option on paper, but he's 40 years old now & he might actually retire.
It's slim pickings after those guys. The next best QB's are Trevor Siemian & Brock Osweiler.

The Jaguars declined option for TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins...making him a F.A.
Top 4 F.A. TE's (according to Walter Football)...
1 - Eric Ebron - Eric Ebron disappointed in Detroit, but finally lived up to his No. 10 overall pick potential with an elite quarterback in Indianapolis. Ebron had a tremendous 2018 campaign, tallying 750 yards and 13 touchdowns.
2 - Jared Cook - Jared Cook is coming off an amazing year. He's enjoyed several 100-yard receiving games, as he and Derek Carr formed some terrific chemistry. It took Cook a while to blossom, but he's finally done it. Unfortunately for Cook, he turns 32 this offseason.
3 - Austin Seferian-Jenkins - Austin Seferian-Jenkins had a great year in 2017 for the Jets, but did nothing in Jacksonville last year. Part of that can be blamed on Blake Bortles, so it's possible for Seferian-Jenkins to bounce back in 2019.
4 - Jesse James - Jesse James is known for his non-catch/catch against the Patriots in 2017, but he's an excellent blocking tight end with some plus receiving ability. He's also just 25 (in June), so he has a decent amount of potential to improve in the latter regard.
Personally, I'd take Jesse James. He's the youngest, shouldn't be overly expensive, & he has a nice upside. The 3 TE's listed above him all have question marks.

Jesse James and Cole Beasley would make this Offense unstoppable
Posted on 2/24/19 at 10:28 am to GMoney2600
I agree. Give me Jesse James
Someone will overpay for Ebron for his one year of production. We have too many guys to resign this year and next to spend a ton on one of these tight ends

Anyone know what positions this next draft class is deep at?
Posted on 2/28/19 at 5:02 pm to windshieldman
This is apparently a good TE draft. People are still holding onto the Jimmy model for this team and I for one would be disappointed if we drafted TE early or blew our wad in FA for one. Between Ginn, Smith, Meredith, Bryant, Arnold, I think our gaps fill themselves. I know Cole Beasley has come up as a potential veteran slot fit, but I think he stays in Dallas. Amendola is FA I believe.
DT must be addressed. People underestimate Rankins’s impact, or the lack thereof for the foreseeable future. Peat is an obvious weak spot despite his versatility. I loved the thought of shifting him from LT to LG when drafted but he belongs on second string IMO. There are OL options expected to be there at 62.

I always thought Tate would kill it in this offense. He and MT are two of the best tackle breaking wideouts in the NFL. But then what do you do with Meredith?
Hoping we sign Wilkerson to play the 3 tech on a one year deal. Good insurance until Rankins comes back

Yea it isn't about Tyrann staying clean, but about him being safe, he said in an interview he could hardly go home much less stay because certain people find out where he is and start popping up looking for trouble, don't see Tyrann coming home....in the second if there's a quality O lineman we should take him, whatever his position...Armsteads always hurt and Ungers getting up there in age, after that, TE and DT then WR, think Meredith rounds back into form next year, now that Ungers gone, I wonder what you'll think

Sources: The #Redskins and #Broncos are working a trade for QB Case Keenum to land in Washington. Issues to work out, but both sides are motivated to make this happen.
may take another team out of the Bridgewater sweepstakes.
