At a certain point they should realize they don’t know what they are doing. How could you not have your next head coach picked out by now?! You’ve had the second longest time period to figure this out. Did you literally not start the process until the end of the season?

They had him picked out, he just went to the jets instead and smartly so.

Be stuck with Loomis, or have some say on the next gm, tough choice….

Kellen Moore is head and shoulders above Aaron Glenn as a candidate

Except for the small detail that you cannot start talking to the coaches until the end of the season. And those that are still coaching in the playoffs, you need to seek permission and work around their schedule.

Yeah, the jets are one hell of an organization. One winning record since 2011. Haven't made the playoffs since 2010.

I am not defending Loomis and company, but it is obvious that some of you have never been involved in the corporate executive hiring process. Good organizations don't jump at the first person they like. You follow the process you have identified and laid out. If that process includes in person interviews with McCarthy and Kingsbury, you finish them out and then make the best decision you can from an informed position.

While I think Loomis is at fault for a lot that is wrong with the Saints right now...... if Kellen Moore is indeed their guy, they can't hire him until after the Super Bowl now, so kinda hard to hire a coach they aren't allowed to coach

Moore is clearly above McCarthy and Weaver who they could hire right now if they wanted. If Moore pulls out the Brady melt will seem like Romper Room.

Kellen Moore?
We call him KM now?
I thought we were hiring Kim Mulkey.

Did Kingsbery just say no to us?

But if we hire Weaver, we get a compensatory 3rd round draft pick correct?

You can’t interview until the end of the season. But you should be vetting and talking to other sources and have your due diligence done. The interview should be a formality and you should have already contacted an agent and be ready to go.

Again, if you only had one guy targeted, you better not miss. It’s a failure to plan.

You are right, but Moore would certainly have me a bit more excited than Glenn would’ve

so you're saying that we basically negotiate a contract with a guy's agent before even speaking to him? Are you retarded?

The assumption being we did absolutely nothing before starting to interview people? How do you think they created a short list if they were just flying by the seat of their pants?
During the process things also change. Brady figured out this was a bad fit (or he was no longer a preferred candidate) and pulls out. A top prospect in Glenn chooses his preferred spot. McCarthy becomes available. Eagles keep winning…
