I don't understand it one bit. Guy is only 40, was a rising commodity still being considered for other gigs, and just goes completely batshit out of nowhere.

Here's my read/interpretation of what may have happened:
Giants call Belichick for a reference on Daboll. BB endorses his former assistant and Giants say they really really like him. BB means to text Daboll but accidentally texts Flores. Flores takes an inch of speculation and turns it into a mile of racism claims.

Actually one of his players Rob Nikovich said the opposite. His communication has been very clear.

Flores may be a good coach but his issue should be with the NFL and not the Giants. They forced the stupid Rooney rule on the leagues teams. Teams are doing what is required to meet that.
Flores sounds like a scorned woman trying to get vengeance at this point, especially with his claims about the Broncos. That’s just ridiculous. Fangio was a better DC than Flores, yet somehow he didn’t deserve a chance at the Broncos job over him. This is why the racism shite is getting out of hand.
There are actual examples of racism that exist but when 99% of the claims are bullshite, then no one should take them seriously without hard evidence.
