Hiring Flores doesn't make much sense for this team if Allen wants the job. Why would the Saints want to hire a defensive specialist, who would probably want to run his own defensive approach, to lead at team that played great defense under its current DC? The Saints just lost their play-caller and they are a team that needs a boost offensively.

I think it is fair to question why Flores was fired in Miami. But it is not like the Saints fired their HC after a terrible season. The HC of a good, but not great team, left. The Saints are not in the same position as NY, Houston or Denver.

My first choice is Allen. But to tell you the truth im not sure if he has the personality to be a HC.

I second this comment. I know many will believe Glenn was brought in to check the box, but to also choose to interview someone who was a assistant on the same staff and side of the ball as the favorite to land the HC job raises flags.

What does this change? If he thinks he’s going to sue teams that turned him down and then turn around and continue as a HC in the NFL, then he’s an even bigger idiot than I thought.

frick him.

JFC some of you are bonafide idiots. I can guarantee that the majority of this board hasn't even read the 58 page complaint.

It's astounding how shite like this gets personalized. Y'all need therapy.

Great point. Flores is attempting to strong arm his way to a HC position through intimidation.

Not really

Giving us a heads up works in our favor. Just cross all our Ts and dot all of our Is and don't let shite leak to other coaches like Belichick, and we're clear.

I'm not saying they would but it's because a head coach is more than just about defense.

That's why you would interview flores and see if his scheme would match up.

Maybe he has a plan to bring in an oc and a qb.

I'm not saying i would hire him but an interview never hurts. I think the saints are going to hire pederson or allen.

I thought teams were required to interview at least two minority candidates for “top” positions

Gave them a heads up that they may be added to suit if not hired. Nice guy. He may potentially be a great head coach but has a losing record so far. If he is that disgruntled he may fire everyone and bring in his own hand picked
minority coaching staff.

That's actually impressive thing to do.

It gives the Saints the easy out to say nah we are not going to interview you because this is a massive distraction or it allows the Saints to show that they have a real interest in Flores being the HC.

FLores has been moving with integrity. When Ross bribed him to throw games for $100K, he said no.

When Ross tried to tamper with Tom Brady and bring FLores in, Flores said no.

Knowing the the Giants already agree to hire Daboll, he still went on the interview because the narrative would have been he refuse to show for an interview, so that's why we didn't hire him.

Flores would do well in New Orleans.

You have to take in consideration the POS Stephen Ross. Jim Mara is a clown too .

The Saints job is Dennis Allen’s to lose. The core of coaches they have now is what kept them afloat this season. Hire any outsider, especially a polarizing figure like Flores, and you likely lose both really good coordinators and some of the lesser staff and become the next Miami Dolphins.
