What I want is for the back up to not play.
Not many teams can say if their #1 guy goes down they can be confident their whole season is not derailed.

It'd be nice to have a veteran #2 with some skins on the wall in Shoughs ear, even if you can't really hope from him to save the season if called on.
I'm not certain Rattler or Wilson is that.
Honestly I'm not certain I wouldn't just try to bring in a Russell Wilson or Jimmy Garopplo to be that if on a vet minimum deal for a year and try to get Rattler or Wilson on the PS if they are eligible. If they're not I can't see teams beating down the door to hurry and grab either one of them.
Wilson or Jimmy G aren't going to save your season if Shough goes down but they have valuable veteran success to bring to Shough I would imagine.
