Jeremy Fowler was on SportsCenter this morning. Here is the brilliant insight into possible contract talks:

“I’m told the Saints value him so much that they plan to talk to him this offseason to tell him they value him”

That’s some insight folks.

It aint ESPN until theyre talking about what Fowler said on the next program, then debating thats the rest of the day on every other show.

I cannot believe Fowler was able to break that story.

Do people really think the saints aren't going to re-sign kamara?

Until we know what his agent is asking for who the hell knows.

My guess is that AK's agent will seek the NFL's highest salary for an RB.

My guess is that AK will sign with the team that pays him the most money.

My prediction is that the team that signs AK will, over time, be proven to have over-paid for AK.

I predict that the NOLA Saints will be that team.

I mean honestly if they can Pay Kamara and still be able to keep Lattimore, Ram then who really cares what they pay him.

We seem to always be able to structure it in a way to keep us financially flexible

Of course, yes, in the sense that fans don't have a legit role to play here. It's "fringe" sports talk to talk about pay issues, IMHO.

I mean i get it because of cap issues and what not. But ive never really seen this team lose a player they want to keep because of cap issues.

There's really no sense in renegotiating his contract until we find out how this season plays out. If we win the Super Bowl, Brees is retiring and that frees up $30M+ for contributors like AK (and Ram, Lattimore, etc). If Brees comes back, we'll have to make some tough calls. Why make these decisions now when we don't have to?
